first you need build a website and promote it through forums, social networks, blogs..etc. when you have a decent traffic you can sell banner ads, links, services or even products. It's my way doing and want to suggest you and hope it's useful to you.!!

You can do freelancing work.

There are many, many ways to make money online. As mentioned, you can offer a service of some kind. You can do affiliate marketing. You could set up a membership site around a given topic.

The reason a lot of people work in the MMO niche is because it can get faster results than some of those other options if you have a good system in place.

I'll give you a method to immediately make fast money on the Internet. But you've got to promise me that you'll find something you actually like to do as your career. Do an actual business.

That method is simple arbitrage. Arbitrage is a bit like brokering, which is the principle of every business.

1) You buy something at a cost.
2) You sell that something at a higher cost. (If you want, you can value-add)
3) You profit.
4) Rinse and repeat.

Why that works? Because of informational asymmetry. Let's not get into economical details and just make the money.

1) Find a good product you can sell in Craigslist's many sections.
2) Sell it in eBay or another section of Craigslist.
3) Profit.
4) Rinse and repeat.

This does take work, but as you can see, it's really not much. Problems definitely arise, like if you cannot match your supply with the demand. You can practically sell anything. Just overcome the problems as they come and you'll become better at it.

This is not that sustainable, so i'd rather you go do something you like, and set up a nice business.

Internet marketing is really just a broad term for making money online because regardless of the model you use, you're going to have to do some marketing to bring in customers and stuff. With that said, you could try blogging, being a ghostwriter - popular because everyone needs content.

You can have a Private Label Rights store, which combines blogging and ghostwriting in a way - write content packs and sell it to multiple buys based on what they are looking for the search engines and more.

You could also do some website flipping - buying (or creating) and selling websites, or start your own membership site. Oh, when I mentioned ghostwriting, I should of also said that you can be a service provider of any kind (depending on what people need & if you have the necessary skills).

These are some of the most common paths you can take. You basically have to do your research and figure out which one(s) you want to get into. Some people use one or two while I know others who've tried everything under the sun.

There are LOTS of ways to make money online. You first need to list all your skills and then look at options relating to those skills.

you do offer your services if there is anything you do well that you can offer as a service. you can create a youtube channel and get paid through google's partner sharing program on youtube. just a few examples.

other than internet marketing, you have options like article writing, graphic/logo desiging, surveys, you can be an online reporter as well.

That depends loosely what you consider internet marketing. A lot of people bunch together internet marketing and making money on the internet together. For example web design, and programming are ways to make money online, but it has nothing to do specifically with internet marketing. A good way to make money is to sell something. People spend money every day or products and services. That holds true to online and offline. What did you buy or spend money on today? I'm sure you bought something.

Find that thing that you are good at and work with that. There are tons of sites that deal with internet marketing, social media, how to be successful using these online tools and so on. Start small and build your reputation in that particular domain. After a while you will raise your bar! Be patient!

There are only two ways to go about making money online as it is offline

1. One you sell some type of product online
2. You sell your services online

The thing is if you are only selling your services, you are basically working another job. Selling products though can become passive income eventually if you have a fully functional business up and running.

Do you mean the make money online niche or internet marketing as a whole? Anything you do to make money online involves internet marketing, you have a business online therefore you have to market it or you will have no business.

Hello, can you write good? You can start by helping people to write articles or rewrite articles in iwriter.com. You can do it tonight and earn money tonight.

Or you can offer service like webdesign, video creation, logo design and so on.

Freelancing (writing, photography, IT, social media maintenance) is good because you can choose the type of work, make your own schedule and earn good money. You just have to persevere!

As two or three astute Warriors have pointed out, most anything you do to sell things or services online requires Internet marketing.

There have been many responses to this thread by Warriors that don't get the point. If you want to make money online marketing is not optional.

If you have a web site, sell a service, write articles, create graphics, sell things at auction, teach others, and on and on and on . . .

You will most likely NOT be successful if you don't promote what you're selling online ----> that is Internet marketing!

Once again, this confusion verifies why so many IMers are not making money. Once they create a web site and put up a product or service, they fail to give Internet marketing - online promotion - it's due importance.

Marketing is an ACTIVE discipline that makes all the difference in the world!

You will quickly realize that there are many ways to earn money online. If you lose your focus, all this information will make you feel overwhelmed and completely lost. Lack of focus is one of the main reason why people give up in Internet Marketing.

As you can perhaps see from many of the replies above, selling a service/freelancing is a form of internet marketing, rather than "an alternative to internet marketing": you're not going to do too well with it if you can't market your own services productively.

Frank Kern once sent his list a book called "The Millionaire Messenger". It was a fast read, and basically you create a product based on something you are good at. He goes over the usual (give a free product, build a list, low priced product, high ticket physical product, and then a seminar) but the point is, you can deviate from IM and package something you are good at and sell it online, or offline.

My advice would be to consider what you like to do, do some keyword research and see if there are advertisers selling similar products. If there are, then there is a market for what you have to offer. It will take a bit of work. Throwing up an affiliate link is a lot easier, but if you want to do something different that represents you, then that would be one way to go.

There are thousands of ways to make money online. You can offer services, start websites, start your own business, GPT websites, PTC websites, etc.

Let me preface this by saying internet marketing by far is one of the most profitable ways to make money online. It takes time but it's worth it once you master it. It's just a matter of having the right guidance and being patient.

But one of the ways I've seen people make some consistent money without needing any internet marketing skills is Amazon Mechanical Turk. Don't expect to pay your rent with the money you make there. However I've seen people make several hundred dollars per month. It's tedious and doesn't pay a lot. But there is money to be made without having to worry about marketing or finding traffic. If you're really smart you can re-invest the money you earn from Mechanical turk into more internet marketing courses or education or for promotion.

So give that a shot, It's free and can be started this week. Again view it as seed money as you continue to work on your internet marketing skills and business.

Online or offline, there are ways to make money. To quote Zig Ziglar "You can have everything in life you want, if you'll just help enough other people get what they want."

Find a need, and provide a service. That's your ticket to making money online, or offline.

If you are skilled at programming, graphic design, video creation, copy writing or whatever then there will be people out there wanting to hire you right now. You can apply for jobs through various freelancing sites or contact local businesses/individuals.
