What about renting content of my site?

Hello Everyone,

Today I have got an offer from someone to rent content or articles that have been published on my website. Is it safe to rent content? Will it not hurt my Search Engine rank? The person is also asking me to install his wordpress plugin in my site. Will it be safe to install a Wordpress? What are other content renting source. Please tell if you know.

    No do not install a plugin from a product you are not familiar with on your website.
    I am not sure what he means by renting content. What you only get to use the content as long as you pay and then you lose all the articles? Or is it something where you get articles on your site which you keep?

      I would never install a WordPress plugin from anyone asking me to install one. Sounds sketchy.

      As for renting content. Never really heard of this before - but if you can keep it on your site (and indexed), I reckon it's just like article syndication - and would therefore be OK.

      But, since it's coming from someone "sketchy" I'd ignore them.

        To be honest, I have no idea how renting a textual content would work. We are talking about text content published on the web that is available to everyone.

        Just as others said, I'd skip this offer, especially as you should install untrusted plugin to your website.
