How Do You Create A 2 Step Optin Form Using Aweber, GetResponse, Etc.

I have a form with 6 fields. I don't wanna scare people away. I'd like to break it up into 2 steps.

Step 1: Email > Next
Step 2: Other Form Fields > Submit

Does anyone know how to do this? I'm willing to leave Aweber if another company has this feature.

Someone suggested to create 2 separate optin lists.
Form 1: Email > Submit > Thank You page Form 2 With Other Fields

But the problem with that method is, the person will have to enter their email address 2twice and confirm their email twice.

So that's not viable.

Please help. Been lookin for 7 days. Connected Aweber and they were NO help! Thx

    This doesn't exactly answer your question of how to do it within Aweber or GetResponse but Wufoo easily allows you to do this. I often times break up my opt in pages into 2 - 3 pages for the same reason you mentioned (not to scare the visitor away) and Wufoo lets you do this easily. Then within your form you can connect Wufoo to API the email right into aweber and continue your email funnel from there.

    This is the basics. Next I'd like to have them enter their email address and be subscribed to my list whether they complete Step 2 or not. But I think that envolves custom code.

    But if anyone knows how to do this, please share.
