Best Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware

I've been having some issues with virus's lately and would like to get the best anti-virus/malware to my computer.

I'm happy to pay for it as long as it is able to protect my PC>

I have windows 7 ultimate (I'm thinking about upgrading to win 8 when the new service pack comes out).

Let me know if you need any other details.

I was using Kaspersky a while ago and that was really good. I recently changed to the free solution AVG which has been really good so far as well. Norton 360 is probably the best out there, but is quite expensive compared to most other programs out there. If you want a free option, AVG is your best bet.

I just want to suggest to you to try avast you can use it for free trial for 1 year if you can create an account to them. The best thing for this anti virus is that before you go through a site that has a virus they will block it to prevent you in going to that site also they have an automatic updates each day.

Honestly speaking Kaspersky is the best!
But, I am using Avast! It's light on my systems and does what it's meant to do ;-)

Avast is free and it works on algorithms instead of reverse engineering. It's awesome for virus protection.
Malwarebytes - also free great for spyware.

I also added the Better Privacy pluggin on my FF to ditch those super-cookies that can't be deleted when you delete other cookies. Also use CrapCleaner. Between those 4 programs I haven't ever had any problems. All free versions.
