Hey, as the title states... Anyone have hands on experience with anything? You can give wordpress and non wordpress alternatives...

Anything thats better than simply an email form will be considered.

Help Desk Software HESK - a free PHP help desk

This free system I have been using for the last 5 years. It has never let me down not once. It has all the basic things needed to handle support. And best of all, it's free.

I have seen lots of other support desks, paid and not, but this one still in my opinion is all that is required and needed for a great support system. (other than a support person )

My advice is to NOT use a free solution for something so important as your customer support. It's one of THE most important parts of your business.

You want to use a paid solution that has dedicated support (should you ever need help) and is also constantly being updated with new tools and features.

I use and recommend:
Zendesk.com | Customer Service Software | Support Ticket System

They have a starter package that is only $20/year and that package has all of the features most small businesses are ever going to need. It's the exact package I have been using for a year and love it.
