Need to learn how to get views for my art

I have over 6,000 twitter followers and it translates into the occasional sale for my art
My art is modern art
I also do kawaii "Japanese for cute"
Any ideas whatso ever

People buy my art when they view it but views are much lower than I need. My monthly views are where I need to be daily.

I blog, tweet, use pinterest. I sometimes use wanelo.
Blogging and twitter seem to drive the most sales.
I used to write articles on squidoo, but squidoo is no longer friendly to artists to use zazzle.

Have you tried using DeviantArt? Some of those pieces get a lot of views. I'm guessing you could leave a link there to purchase straight from Zazzle.

thank you for your kind words

        Lots of good ideas

zazzle prints and sell it. I don't have to deal with drop shipping. I don't have to deal with printing. I don't deal with manufacturing.
In some ways this is very freeing. This saves me a lot of time.
they do choose what sites my art goes out on but those are great ideas.

I could sell embellished prints on ebay or etsy. I am thinking of all the possibilities,

People suggested I write an art ebook on kindle I love kindle but its black and white so a lot of the vivid colors would be lost. I am toying with putting a children's ebook up and giving it for free so people can see at least a black white version.

It will be a good idea to include offline marketing method in your marketing campaign as you are selling art pieces. Street markets, weekend marketers, bazaars etc are some of the great places where people can get to know about your art pieces.

How about you contacting those people who has an Art website and you can ask about placing an advertisement with them. You can also try Facebook Ads too and target those people who like Arts.

    Hope my humble opinion helps

I have tried some offline marketing but no flea markets (Nothing local enough)
eventually I want to try art galleries but I am thinking of alternative markets like offices and small business

I have had business cards not much buzz from them I never know who to give them to
I use postcards and mini prints give them out as gifts that has done more than the business cards
I have also given out product for people who helped me with my marketing

I am thinking of making more youtube videos trading work for add space.

          Hi zartsval,

very nice artwork, and I think some good ways for you especially if it's Japanese is to participate in some Japanese forums that discuss anime. one good way to increase traffic is to post tutorial threads, or make a tutorial video on how to draw in a certain Japanese style, I'm sure people can appreciate that and also then refer them to your website to view your art!

Aside from that great work and look forward to more!

thank you so much for the kind words about my art
            It makes me smile

the doing a tutorial might work for the cute art. My youtube vid that has 700 views tells people how to open up a zazzle shop. I could teach people how to do a cute art.

I've been told with the abstract that they are good but the market is poor due to the economy. I still think people want good abstract art but its finding the
sites where art lovers hang out.

    Hi!

Nice stuff! Why don't you list your items in Amazon, eBay etc? Pretty sure you would sell some of them ...

Hey Val, great site. Do you have a facebook page for your business? Facebook is a gold mind when you use it correctly. Takes time but just like all the other social networking sites. With your facebook page you can view other simular pages and provide value by commenting on post and that will drive visitors to your facebook page where you then can send them to your main website.

Keep up the good work and stick to your plan and goals.

mekdroid I think you and long Beach are right about DeviantArt.
I would view it but never thought of it for my own art.

My art sells okay but I know I could get to the next level of pro seller faster.
Zazzle gives bonuses for each pro seller bonus level you get to,

Maybe just to increase awareness you might want to invest into CPM or CPI ads very worth the while and is quality traffic aswell!

I am really afraid of Click fraud with Cost per thousand click type programs. The ads themselves can be honest but sometimes competition might make fake clicks to run up the price.

Maybe if I could find a good marketing online zine and then offer to write an article for them or offer art in exchange for them to link to my business cards?

I am going to brainstorm and write down some ideas

I have gotten from this forum
