How to get Traffic on my site.

Hello everyone,
I just started my website on public speaking niche a week ago. I joined 2 forums and no results yet. I have 2 articles I wrote on the same niche. Please advice on the best place to post so I can get good results.
Any Ideas on the best forum for this niche?
Thank you.

While posting on forums is a good way to get traffic, you need to make sure you're posting on sites that get a lot of traffic in your niche. Looking at how many members there are is one good indication. You also have to make your signature stand out.

Article writing is also good, but you need to do some research to make sure you're writing on topics that people want to check out. Giving a few tips and telling people to check out your blog for the rest is a good way to go. You might also want to do some blog commenting on blogs in your niche.

        Good luck,
        Joey

Try reddit... I get around 5000 uniques any day that I post a good article on my niche subforum.. of course, they convert like total sh1t (as in, not at all, maybe 1 / 5000 joins the mailing list if I'm lucky) but hey, it's traffic.

    What about using YouTube?

You say you're in the public speaking niche, so I think uploading videos (target them to specific keyword) would be a great way to demonstrate techniques and get people over to your site.

That combined with forum posting and SEO from articles should get you going.

      Public Speaking = Video Marketing.

Start by becoming an expert in one filed of marketing (e.g. Video Marketing) and master then move on to another (e.g. Social Media Marketing).

Looking for traffic in that particular niche through forums? Why not try finding related authority blogs and sites that are highly trafficked and focus on putting up quality content that is helpful in the niche with a link back to your blog? I've driven hundreds of high quality visitors to multiple sites doing this exact thing.

If you're in the public speaking niche, as I am as well, I suggest you have your personal blog and create videos then upload them on youtube. It would also be great to have a presence on niche targeted forums.

I would also highly recommend social media mainly FB and twitter. Just keep creating high quality content on a consistent basis, build a list and you're good to go!

Promoting your site on every post you make can get you banned very fast on this forum.

For OP - upload videos to youtube and slides to slideshare and put backlinks to your site. And by the way, do you do any backlinking at all? If you don't plan to use paid traffic, then you should do some serious backlinking.

You have to write an article per day and submit it to EzineArticles, after posting it at your own blog first of all, and only later submitting it to this article directory. If you are a good writer and you have enough knowledge about your topic you can write two long articles per week, with many important lessons. Long articles attract the online users because they are really helpful. I noticed that my readers like long articles because they contain valid information. They are not empty words.

Create a few videos on public speaking and post them on you tube with your URL in the desc as well as at the end of the mini movie. This will gain you exposure. Also, you need to create some free tutorials that you can post on tutorial sites similar to tutorialized - there are many.

Add as much content as you can. Please remember to include in you blog posts many images. These you can get for free at sxc. Most people get a lot of traffic from Google images. While you are at it, get a free blogger account and link it to your free you tube account as well as Google plus account for more exposure.

    Hi,

One method that I have found very successful is using solo ads. Even though it is paid traffic it converts well with the right offer. If you want to go the free route then you should consider creating a youtube video on the topic you are seeking traffic for. They are many courses on youtube marketing on the forum (some require small amounts of cash to get started e.g outsourcing the video, etc.) Regarding Solo ads, just search the forum & you will encounter many reputable warriors who offer them. Just review customer feedback first before you buy.

    Hope this helps,

    Ryan.

      What does your site sell?

Don't focus on just traffic. It could take thousands of casual surfers that may not be all that interested in actually spending money to get your solutions.

You have to set yourself apart. Instead of just posting articles (which could take dozens of amazing articles, or hundreds of average articles) to build up traffic.

Focus on setting yourself apart and as the expert. Create some money magnets. Infographics, blueprints, case studies, tutorial videos, etc.

Then.. don't just put them out there and hope someone comes across them. Promote them (and you) with press releases. Show that you are the expert.

Once you have a few press releases. Show that activity to people selling in your niche, and get them to share your money magnets with others.

Tell them that for every lead they sent you, you will give them a percentage of the sale, using affiliate tracking software.

Setting this up can be a lot of work up front. In the long run, it's a lot less work than relying on free traffic from random surfers who might stumble upon an article.

You can't single out any method as the success strategy for promoting your website. Actually the whole process of promoting your website has a lot of sub tasks. I mention a few of them here.
    1. Perform on-page optimization
    2. Create high quality informative content.
    3. Establish your brand in social media sites
    4. Engage in social media
    5. Perform off-page promotions
    6. Guest blog
    7. Create multimedia content (infographics, video creation etc.)

These are a few things that came to my mind. Actually there are a lot more. A collective work of all these strategies will surely bring you success.

Social media plays a major role in bringing quality traffic to your site. Create profiles for your website in all major social media sites like Facebook, Google+, Twitter etc. I understand that you may not get magic traffic as soon as you create profiles. It takes time to create a large reader base. Try to please your readers. Have links to your social media profiles from your website. Encourage your readers to share your content by placing social sharing buttons after posts. Another thing to be taken care of is social bookmarking. Bookmarking sites such as stumbleupon, digg, delicious are known to drive a lot of traffic.

youtube and PPC might be a good way to get traffic for you. They can be very target and youtube is free if you do the video yourself.

Since you have articles and ready to go for article writing, you can turn them into videos at the same time.

Spread your articles around the internet, you can do some research first in this forum before you do it. Try article marketing, you can also do guest blogging if you know some best blog on public speaking.

Hi there, first of all, no offense but your going to have to do a lot more than post on two forums and submit two articles. You need to start thinking outside of the box, start writting articles daily, post on 20, 30 or more forums. Start taking advantage of Facebook, Twitter and Google+. Submit 100+ articles, start your own blog and the process of SEO. You can't expect to join two forums and get reults, it just doesn't work like that.

As you're in public speaking niche, creating videos is one of the best ideas, I suppose. Everyone is well aware of the importance of youtube. Create some videos that portray your personality and create a buzz. Well, don't forget the importance of video distribution. Else, even if you create a great video, it'll go unnoticed, given the number of videos created each day.

Getting traffic to any site is going to be the biggest task you will ever perform in this industry. Driving traffic is what most all business owners spend much of their time doing because they want to make money.

There are dozens of free methods that you can use to drive traffic such as forum marketing, writing and submitting articles to the article sites, commenting on blogs relating to your niche, doing link exchanges, finding ezines that will publish your articles to their lists, and so much more.

You may find yourself using multiple methods for generating highly targeted traffic, so don't be surprised when you find yourself doing a lot of posting, promoting, and link exchanging and such.

Creating products is really the easy part, but driving traffic to those products; well, that's a whole other animal altogether. It can get frustrating at times when you see no results right at first, but as long as you stick with it and keep it up, eventually you will see results and the fruits of your labor will indeed pay off.

So just stay focused, do whatever you need to do to drive highly targeted traffic, and wrince and repeat. That's the key.

Heard you mention article marketing. Try www.ezinearticles.com . If you are good at writing, you can write 5 articles and then post them on EzineArticles. Don't expect a lot of traffic. Think you could get about 50 to your website in a week or so. 50 should be a good start for you. The approval process is quite strict. Make sure your articles are original and free of grammatical errors.
