Getting Started with IM

Hey!(First post among many...)
Recently, I have being teaching myself how to get into IM but finding it hard without proper help.
Thus,I bought some guides to help me to get started.
It is difficult!
I thought about starting to make me some Google Alerts and JV lists but I really have no idea how to begin .
Any advise will be really helpful!

    It's always difficult for a lot of people when first starting out. There's so much information out there. Just find something that works, stick to it and expand on it.

    Find one technique or system and stick with it until you master it. The reason most people fail is because they don't succeed the first time out and move on to the next shiny object.

    Stick with one thing...test and fail until you succeed. Its all about testing and failing until you get it right.

    Also, I would throw in to determine what business model you are going to work on. Affiliate marketing, this can be very broad as in determining if you want to promote physical ass well as digital products.

    Product developer (highly encouraged as you can get affiliates to promote your stuff, easy and inexpensive to test here in the forum in the WSO section)

    eCommerce, building out your own brand and authority site

    eBay power seller

    Local online marketing consultant (Quick money but you gotta sell offline typically)

    There are a number more, but what I am trying to encourage you to do is focus on what model and then stay focused in that direction.

    Just keep reading and after some time you will start to see some light.

    When you read something try to actually use the information.

    Let's say there is a description how to build a web site on blogger.com. Go ahead and actually build one (it's free in this case).

      First,I would like to thank you guys for the comments. Really great to see such an active community.
      I am a part of Work From No Home program and trying to finally start marketing but the first problem I am having is JV list started.
      Anyone got sites that do that,forums and etc?

    Internet marketing is a broad subject. You should definitely look into affiliate marketing and learn Wordpress. Once you learn the basics, you could begin by building Wordpress review or niche sites and start earning money as an affiliate. It can be easy at first to get distracted and jump from one project to the next, but stick with the one idea!

    If you have a hobby then try and blog about it.
    Get used to writing content for others and build up a following.
    Your blog posts can be fed out to Twitter and Facebook to create even more engagement.
    Later on you can think about what products you can create to sell from your site.
    It all takes time, but work on a little bit each day.

    Stick to only one method and actually earn something from it. When you see the money, you will have more motivation to try other techniques and you will have something to invest in. But be consistent. Success don't happens overnight. You have to work for it.

    Stick with the basic and what are yoru goals? Do you want to build a website and blog? Do you want to try affiliate sites? What do you want to first try? You will learn a lot in WF forum
