Absolutely. It all depends on the source's popularity, your efforts and the quality of your contributions. Sadly, success rates are very subjective and vary greatly. I believe the average person is probably getting fewer than 500 per month, but no, 500 is not unrealistic.

As you've mentioned Guest blogging and forum marketing. These are powerful traffic generation methods if done properly. As said by other authors, it depends on the blog and forum popularity. as well as how much value you provide to the respective sources.

Getting 500 leads per month is certainly doable with free traffic methods, but the actual number of visitors that you'll need will greatly vary on how well your funnel converts. That is why testing is imperative.

You can have a squeeze page that converts at 10% and in this case you'll need to drive at least 5.000 visitors per month. But by rigorously split testing your squeeze pages, you can increase the conversion all the way up to 30% and even more, in which case you'll need 3 times less traffic.

And don't forget that you need to take into consideration the number of people who will also unsubscribe from you list. I see a lot of newbies making this mistake, they only think of how many visitors they can drive to a squeeze page, how many of them will subscribe, but they won't consider the number of unsubscribes, which can have quite an impact if you're spending a daily amount of time on acquiring those visitors in the first place.

You can, but you'd want to change either that or the traffic sources (or both) pretty quickly, if you actually do.

It can ... but the way to remedy that is to put the plug in the bath, not to adjust the flow of the taps and waste even more water.

If appreciable numbers are regularly unsubscribing, you need to look seriously at your whole continuity process and address the issue of in what way(s) your autoresponder series is failing to meet your subscribers' expectations. Not forgetting, of course, that you get to set your subscribers' expectations yourself!

Yes it is VERY possible, you need the right traffic sources (free or paid)

and of course an offer that people are interested in, and of course a good follow up.

      Hi Bridget,

There's no harm in setting a goal of 500 leads a month, but I think ultimately you're going to need more. How many of these leads are going to subscribe to your list once they arrive at your site? And if they do subscribe, how many will stay on your list?

In my opinion, the key to having a successful and profitable business is to laser focus on getting very targeted traffic and then offer your subscribers exactly what they want.

So I would suggest that you concentrate on making sure your leads are very focused rather than stressing over the raw number of leads you're attracting. Your conversions will increase and your traffic getting will be more efficient - i.e. you will get more subscribers per 100 leads.

In addition, and maybe most importantly, you should see your sales per 100 subscribers increase as well, meaning more profit to you per campaign.

I hope you have great success,

      Steve

You'd get 500 leads a day faster if you use paid advertising. 500 leads a day is more of my speed.

The last FB campaign I ran produced about 100 subs. per day. After OTO sales they made me $0.02 per subscriber. Unfortunately FB ran out of fresh eyeballs for my ads.

Most of the time, people get fewer than 500 leads. however, getting 500 leads a day is absolutely realistic. It all depends as to what tool you are using and how popular it is. Putting some extra effort would also help you a lot.

Always remember that the quality of your leads is far more important the the number of your leads.

Hi Bridgette, a great way to get free leads is joining Facebook groups. You can do this by going to Facebook and type in something like make money online groups or network marketing groups. There are tons of groups you can join and most will allow you to share your links, but you need to make sure they allow it, which is simple to do. These groups have anywhere from 1000 up to 20,000 and even more in them. The more groups you join the more traffic you will get to your site.

    Hope this helps a bit!
