INTERNET MARKETING

As we all know there have been several states that basically put a ban on Affiliate Marketing due to state tax laws. This left a lot of people out of A LOT of money. (I was one) Well, it looks like the old men and women wearing the big black dresses finally came to their senses.

Little fun facts -

12 other states passed similar laws and crushed about 90 thousand small businesses.

In Illinois alone roughly 9 thousand people lost their earnings

They prepared a notice saying "they will re-open 'soon' and are happy to be able to"

And all other major affiliate programs are following suit. Hopefully more states will follow as well.

I have no doubt whatsoever that you will see similar suits and (hopefully) favorable decisions in other "affiliate unfriendly" states and this decision will help fuel the momentum....Great news!

I wouldn't hold my breath for Amazon to reopen in Illinois.....although I would be thrilled to see it happen!

Can't remember where I heard or read that Amazon will think hard and slow on the prospects of reopening in states they closed down because of the brainless law makers.

Sounds too good to be true! Amazon's affiliate program offers much to the affiliate marketer, I had a lot of money invested in tools, hosting, advertising only to be dropped like a hot potatoe.

If I were a company like Overstock or Amazon I wouldn't be too excited about reinstating affiliates simply because of the nature of the beast they are dealing with...... politicians.

The state is broke..... it's broker than broke and it won't be long before they take another stab at getting a piece of internet sales.

The whole country is in a whole so deep there is no way out, I don't know how the Fed's will be able to continue to leave internet sales alone .....at least to the the degree that they have.

Nevertheless, I'm anxious to be reinstated Mr. AMazon
