First Time JVZoo Vendor - Best Practices Question

Hi Warriors!

I've been a ClickBank kinda girl but as an affiliate, I prefer JVZoo, so I went with that this time.

I have a couple of questions for you.

1. On approving people - everyone has me scared to death of scammers getting my PayPal shut down, so I know to be persnickety about who you approve. But there are a ton of good marketers whose names I don't know.

How do you size them up? ie: I have one already waiting - never hear of him. His blog looks good but no comments. He has "50 sold," whatever that means. How many refunded? I don't know. Chargebacks? No clue.

Is he approval worthy? Do I put him on delay? If so, what does that mean - does the money wait in MY PayPal account or where?

2. I know my Download Guard has JVZoo ability, but I didn't see where it was needed since JVZoo has a specific protected download page, so I just used that. Am I missing a step somewhere? I tested it and it worked fine - just wondering if I need it in DLG somewhere for some reason.

Thanks ahead of time - new tech stuff always puts me in a panic.
Tiff

    Hi Tiffany

I make it a rule to put a notification on the affiliate request page to the effect that if the affiliate has less than 25 sales and I don't know them, they will be on delayed payments to start with. That is not to say that, if they start making sales and all is going good, they will get bumped to instants. It is about building relationships just as much as anywhere else.

I tend to deny people with <10 sales who I do not know and do not give me a credible reason to approve them. Especially if they are not from countries with, how can I put this, a good "reputation".

The JVZoo secured download facility is very secure and a good time saver but you lose the opportunity for oher offers displayed on a thank you page or members area. That is the trade off. I have done both and, for a busy product launch, it is one less headache and one less thing to go wrong by putting your product in there.

Tiffany, you will love the Zoo as a vendor. They really look after you and provide amazing tools. PM me or connect on Skype with me if you want to pick my brains (what there are of them) further.

    Hey Tiffany,

Barry already answered most of your questions and I definitely agree with him that JVZoo is a great platform for product vendors.

But regarding delayed payments, I can add that in this type of payment you get the full amount of the sale directly to your PayPal account and can send the affiliate his share after you have examined it\the refund period have ended.

    I hope that helps!
    Chris

For a new affiliate to JVZoo can you give me some suggestions on how to get approval?

Most vendors want some sort of track record before they approve you, yet when you're just starting out, you can't get anyone to approve you.

This is creating somewhat of a vicious cycle. I can't promote any products to create a track record so I can't get approval to promote any products.

I realize that approval is determined by the product creator. So can you give me some suggestions on getting started at JVZoo and how to get past this? Can you please tell me if there are any products that I should start with so that I can get approval from other vendors on JVzoo?

      Hi,
Just be honest. It's how you get into cpa networks it's how you are approved by vendors. With out any BS write that you are new, how will you promote and give your contact info and tell that you are ready to answer if they have any question or doubts. More than half will approve you.

You can have them put you on a delayed billing. The big thing I look for is communication and transparency. If someone I don't know with no record asks for approval, I start Googling. I want to know who I'm dealing with - are they out there online, or is this just some random name? Do they have a site, or they established, etc.

Delayed payments are no risk so you might say that when applying: "I know I don't have proven sales here at JVZoo so I'm fine with delayed payment if you would feel more comfortable."

I approve almost all affiliates, however those with less than 25-50 sales on on delayed. To be honest, those will few sales hardly ever make any sales.

One big mistake I've made is not make a file of the email addresses of each person I approve when they apply and keep them in a file. You can use this list to contact them in the future, either using email and/or Facebook.

I just added my first product to JvZoo. Here's a silly question...I want to give people the link to become an affiliate, but I can't seem to locate the page with that info. I know it's right in front of me, but I can't find it

    For starters:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ffiliates.html

There's a lot of good info. there.

Delayed payments are no risk so you might say that when applying: "I know I don't have proven sales here at JVZoo so I'm fine with delayed payment if you would feel more comfortable."
If an un-proven affiliate has a problem with delayed, they won't make any sales anyway.

To be honest, those will few sales hardly ever make any sales.
but I can't seem to locate the page with that info.
In Sellers Dashboard, click "affiliate details page". That's your url.
