Wordpress Membership Theme to Use with plugins?

What is a good wordpress theme to use for a membership type site?

I don't want one of those long 1 page landers. I'm looking for something more professional.

An example would be affplaybook although not a huge fan of that design.

Also is optimizepress used to create that theme or is it used as a plugin once you already have the theme
