Hi.

I normally sale long ebooks that are like 25 to 50 pages. I have some ideas for some hotsheets but I'm wondering how long they normally are. Would 5 pages be okay or is that too short? No pictures ; just a bunch of text. Would LOVE to hear what you all think of that. Thanks!

I have produced some "short reports" and have generally made them 10-15 pages in length. I view hotsheets as something even shorter so I would say 5 pages is fine - could be even less depending upon the subject.

Really, the whole idea for a hotsheet, at least in my understanding, is to make it a hard-hitting, no fluff, very brief but value packed piece of content that gives the reader the meat of the topic very quickly. If the sheet is too long, it defeats the whole purpose of a "quick read" for a busy person.

The key is to choose topics that are prime hotsheet material - topics that can be explained or covered in a very short, laser-focused narrative and that will appeal to your audience.

    The very best to you,
