Do Banner Exchanges Work? If so, what are some of the best free and inexpensive exchanges? I've used "The Banner Exchange" for a while but I don't see much in the way of good traffic.

Banner exchange used to be a good way to get traffic few years ago... I dont think it work very well any more...

There was a good banner exchange which I used to get a lot clicks but it have go out of business now, most of the BE out there won't give good CTR, I am currently using bucketsofbanners for the time being.

BE will only work if each member put up the code on their web site without cheating the system.

Still work for some high traffic sites. For backlinks, I think link exchange is still effective.

  They still work only if you are not focusing on them as the sole source of traffic. If you are using them as one of your traffic snow ball system, they can bring in a few extra visitors per month.
  
  The only problem is finding a banner exchange program where members are not cheating the system. For long, my favorite has been Banners Go MLM MLM BannersGoMLM.com - And It's All FREE! - FREE 1:1 Banner Exchange, FREE MLM, FREE 5 Level Affiliate Program!

They have good exchange ratio and many different banner sizes.
