Getting Started - What should I do?

Hey Guys,

I'm completely new to internet marketing, I've known of the concept for quite a while. Just some relevant information, I am very competent with the internet and technology and I know how to build and program websites, have a basic knowledge of SEO as well as a proficient understanding of how to use various CMS's such as Wordpress.

I've been doing some reading... and well to put it straight - there is a crapload of things out there. Empower Network, Get auto commissions, google hangouts, amazon stuff, video commission formula etc.

I'd like some advice from you seasoned pro's, on what to do since you guys have already gone out there and tried this stuff out.

What should I go out and do?
The thing that is most appealing to me is: Video Commission Formula
Basically Youtube video SEO and clickbank stuff.

Empower network looks good, but I'm very suspicious of it.

Get auto commissions has a great commercial, but does it actually work?

Lol.

Please advise me.

    The best advice I could give you is to look up Harvey Segal on Google. Beware of
    "bright shiny objects" . Pick a niche. Make it something you are passionate about. Look up Chris Farrell. Pick a direction and go for it. Do not jump from concept to concept. Absolutely know that you are in Business....nothing else. Make it a business not a hobby

    All the online stuff only looks different from the real world. It all boils down to delivering a product that is in high demand.

    If you are looking for shortcuts: there ain't any.

    Don't be afraid to read a lot. If something seems too easy it is probably false.

I am very familiar and experienced with word press and other topics on how to make money but never got into the process of actually monetizing my website and all that, it would be nice to connect with people and share the a same interest and venture, contact me via Skype and we can do this together.

    I also agree that list building is definitely a reliable way of money

    Logic say there are many people trying to make
    money. They use many tools like Wordpress, Aweber.

    They need sites built, graphics and traffic.

    Going for such products make you have an evergreen
    market.

    Definitely stay away from Empower network, or anything similar to that garbage.

    Almost everything you need to know can be found using the Search feature on these forums.


    Here's a quick rundown on one of the ways you can make money online:
    • Pick a niche you can see yourself getting involved in for a very long time
    • Study the niche enough so you know it so well that you can teach it to your mother
    • Create evergreen products (using your newly acquired knowledge) that are in demand in your niche
    • Setup a sales funnel using your own website (front end with bonuses/downsell/upsell)
    • Create a free sample/guide/teaser that relates to your products in your sales funnel
    • Create a landing page to exchange this free gift in exchange for people opting in to your autoresponder
    • Immediately send your optins through your sales funnel
    • Profit

    And as goldbear mentioned... if you want to succeed, you need to treat this like a real life business and not some get rich quick type b.s.

    Thanks for the advice.

    From what I know about SEO'ing your own websites, is that it is a very very lengthy process. Has anyone here done youtube affiliate marketing?

    I was their before and waist a lot of time. Get involve with people who want to help is really the key so you can do the same with your people provide them with value and guide them you need a system and a program that have all the key component from landing page to providing value to sales page a complete funnel to help you generate sales other wise you can waist a lot of time .

    AS other warriors have said - steer clear of Empower Network - its a massive pyramid. The point is that Internet Marketing is mind blowing and overwhelming in its scope and size. You don't learn this overnight. And its fair to say that if you follow a paint by numbers approach you will get seriously burned.

    even you choose to monetize by videos, you still need a page/site of your own.
    videos, or facebook, and other methods come and go, but owning something your own keep things in control.

    Don't listen to anyone who doesn't give you a niche. I can give you this one because I have several more profitable ones. I am here to give real value. Of course, like everyone else, you won't follow my advice. But I don't give a crap cause I make a full-time income without this forum. I don't even sell marketing products. So just carry on with your silly YouTube/ClickBank marketing plan and make a few bucks a month. Or join one of the pyramid schemes and see how far that gets you.

      Secondly, I don't even know what "shilling" is but I'm assuming it means spamming a URL. I've only been talking about that one since its the thing that I think I'm going to ahead with and I'm asking if other people have tried it before.
