DBA Using virtual address

I live in Texas and I'm wondering if it is possible to set up a DBA using a virtual address. The post office now offers po boxes using the physical address and are appended with the box number. Would any know?

The reason, my 23 year old daughter streams various games online that other gamers connect and watch (this isn't what some of you guys are thinking . She has over 4,000 followers and and as a result she has been invited to join "twitch" a company that will promote her streams, place ads and pay her. This is our delima. Many of these "streamers" become somewhat of a celebrity so setting up a DBA with our home address could be dangerous. Other than a DBA with a virtual address how could my daughter set up a business without her followers discovering her home (business) address?

Yes you can use that address no problem, I am also in Texas by the way. I can also assure you that twitch will not release your address to her followers. We are also a Twitch partner Twitch and I know most of the staff at twitch personally as we attend several of the same events throughout the year.

But by all means using a PO Box is not unusual or in this case your virtual address.

My concern is not with twitch but someone searching her assumed name through the county's ROAM system. There you will see her address.
Thanks so much for the info.

Just look at getting a registered agent. They are $99 bucks a year, you have the address on file with the state and anyone that looks and then you also have a firm that will accept service on your behalf. Part of the reason the state needs your address is if for some reason you are subpoena'ed or other services, they will accept service on your behalf. Otherwords, if the process server shows up at the PO Box, you can get a default judgement against you.
