What are the top freelance marketplaces that will allows freelancers to earn more dollars?

I want to know the other freelance marketplace than Fiverr because almost all of the buyers on that online marketplace are cheap, based on my experience..

And now I'm looking for the top freelance marketplaces that will allow me to earn more dollars.. Can anyone give me a list?

    Elance, Odesk, Freelancer, GURU all are freelancing sites. I would recommend Elance most. If you are willing to work, you will make a good amount of money from there.

    IMO, you want to stay away from all the sites mentioned and all the others like them.

    Your disadvantage at the big sites is that even though you are willing to work below US market rates, the people in India and other such places will still undercut your subsistence price.

    Also, most of big marketplace sites have a ranking system and people hire those with the highest ranking. Thus, the rich to get richer and the new person has to work for hit-and-miss slave wages for months or years to get any visibility at all.

    Build your own client base there in the Philippines using your own website. Your best market is people in your own culture. There is probably a gold mine in writing for your own market. You may find this helpful: The Case Against Offshore Writers | Velocity Writing

    I learned the hard way; the site you're looking for doesn't exist. You can make decent money offering service, but not by bidding on Jobs. Those 'jobs' will always go to the lowest bidder. The secret is in finding private clients.

    Use the freelance sites more as advertising, as a loss leader. Offer only intro level services on them.
