Is it better create website from zero by coding myself or use platforms such as wordpress in case when have enough knowledge to build good looking and functional by myself.
Maybe someone can share what impact id does to SEO and security or something else.

Much easier & quicker to work from Wordpress. Plus, it's equally flexible meaning that you can enhance your website & increase functionality with plugins.

You must go with platforms like WordPress or Joomla ,instead of doing zero level coding .

It saves time and effort both .

In terms of functions WordPress has a large library of ready to use plugins and they really increase productivity of your website .

SEO and Security - I think WordPress has good tools for both factors , only condition is that you must know how to use them perfectly.

I can code HTML (had no choice when I first started) but find it much easier to use Wordpress.

Unless you've got a compelling reason not to, use a platform like Wordpress or similar.

There are plenty of plugins, etc that will help keep Wordpress secure but start with the basics by not using the default "admin" username and making sure you have a decent password. The Limit Login Attempts plugin will help keep out the nastier elements as well.

Depends on your goals, but in general the best answer is that you should do BOTH. One will get you up and going quickly and the other will give you an education. No reason not to do it. Get hosting and use a few different domains, or put wordpress on a subdomain. As long as you control your hosting you should be able to have as many domains/subdomains as you want.

    Good luck to you.

Completely depends on what you are trying to do...

      One extremely important point though:

Don't get so caught up in the tools and making sure the little lights blink at the right times on your site that you lose track of the method.

IM is NOT about who can design the best looking sites... as a matter of fact, often times, for what you may be trying to do, ugly will work better...

That is actually true, have personal experience of ugly sites working a lot better!

To the original question, I guess there is no real answer. For most people, Wordpress is the easiest way to get a CMS up and ready. It is quite flexible and most people understand how to use it.

        Custom sites work only if:

You need something really unique and made according to your needs

        OR

You can code and you want more freedom in doing things your own way.

I would go with Wordpress. Coding is tough depending on the structure of the website you're trying to build. Make it simple... go for the cash, and don't overthink or over complicate things.
