Do I get a logo designed first or web site header first?

I am going to sell 3 health e books that I wrote.
A lot of the logos on Fiverr, have text...so not sure how that interacts with text on header...??
Someone told me I should have 3 logos, one for for each e book/website, and do the 3 websites with entirely different designs/colors...I'm a bit confused.
I found someone on Fiverr, she does great book covers and headers, but she doesn't do logos.
Should one person do the logo and header?
Which should be designed first, logo or header? And how should they interact?

I think logos are created first to represent your products and services .You logo must be related to your product or services.

Website Headers can be done after that .

Your logo should be created first so you can build your brand. Make sure it's a quality one as well because it's your business.

    Thanks!
I see a lot of logos with text almost a header really... it seems they are meant to go on a compliment slip or letterheading.
Mine is a web based business.
Should I tell the graphic designer to do a logo with no text, so that it can go inside the website header or next to header?
Someone, an "expert", told me to have 3 different logos, one for each of my 3 health e books/websites ....do you agree?

Honestly, a logo is supposed to represent a brand.

Are your 3 products going to be promoted under your main brand? Yourself, your company? If so, then I would not make 3 logos. I would make 3 different looking ecovers, and 3 websites that represent each product, with three different headers, but brand them all with your main brand logo, your brand logo should not be the main attention, it should be easy to see though, but not the center of attention.

If all of your products are going to be sold on one page, just one header, and still 3 covers, and just brand the whole page with your main logo, but not the center of attention.

I would hire a logo designer to design the logo, and somone else to design the header/ecovers/websites, unless the designer can do both, meaning he/she can design logos and other things.

        Thanks...still confused...
        No websites yet..
        I own:
        * Title of my ebook: Reverse your Arthritis - nature's way - for under $5 a week!(slogan)
Learn how I healed myself from arthritis in months. (This is what will be on book cover)
reducegout.com - Registered at Namecheap.com Title of ebook: Reduce Gout - nature's way - for under $5 a week. (slogan)
Learn how I have been 100% pain free for 4 years.
        www.reversersi.com Title of ebook Reverse R.S.I. - nature's way - for under $5 a week! (slogan)
Learn how I can still use the keyboard for hours a day,..with no pain!
        ---------------------------------------
I will create separate websites for each book...the same remedy healed all 3 conditions...cannot put on same page/website.
This is what the "expert" said:
Hi, We saw your books names and slogan and here is what we think of them:
        1- Titles:
        - The books names are very catchy and we are sure people will love them. - We fill like each book has its own personality and will catch people to read them.
        2- Slogan
        - Having the same slogan for all the books is a clever idea. Like branding your whole books series with this ending slogan. - Using the "Nature's way", we recommend it. People nowadays look for natural things, Bio in food,... - Also the use of under $5 will make people think, that when they use your methods they will not spend too much money. Especially in the crisis time.
        3- Backgrounds color and headers
        - In the website style, please don't use the same background; printing experience is very different from the web one. - Try to make every book website unique. Maybe using the same police, the same lines but not the same background/header.
        4- Logos
        - Having a unique logo for each website is a must. Because the logo is what separate each unity of the others.
5- What colors you can use?
        - If you want to express the natural and balanced life also
with a way of calmness, use variation of grey in your logo,
website, and covers. But remember not the same grey in
all the books. Variation is the key.
        - If you want to express the excitement and the youthful
        feeling use the Red variation.
        - With one of those colors, you will sell more. Because they
work for your kind of books.

No, I don't agree. I'd have someone who is really good at ecovers create the ebook covers for your ebooks. They don't need a logo. Logos are primarily to establish a brand. As an example, if you were selling a health product instead of ebooks, those products should have a logo that would be used on packaging and all marketing materials.

Get 3 ebook covers done and then 3 website headers done for the sites.

Go with the one Logo for your brand, you can just ask the person who designs you header to add it to the header with the relevant text.

You can always tweak and split test stuff down the line...the main thing is to get your product out there and improve it as you go along.

I get logos done for all my sites, they're cheap and help give you creditability and establish a brand (plus it's an easy way to build my design portfolio).

Nothing turns me off more than a site with just a text header/logo. Tells me that the site owner isn't fully committed to their site.

This. If you don't take your business serious enough to create a logo, how do you expect others to take you seriously?

Logos first so they can be placed into the headers.

However, let your fiverr person know the style/colors/feel you plan to use on your sites/covers so everything syncs up nicely.

You are so far ahead of yourself. You start with website copy. Then worry about trivial things that don't matter like your logo. No one cares about your logo. They only care about their problems.

You only need 1 website. You can have 3 different sales pages on one website. The URL doesn't matter either. No one cares.

They only care about their problems.

If you want to pay someone $5 to make a ebook cover, that's fine but not needed.

What is needed is good copy on your sales pages.

    Everything else is just lipstick.

Lipstick that matters! Just like the website copy it all matters. Taking any shortcut will only lead to more problems. If you need help writing sales copy, take a tip from Marlon Sanders and call your friend - describe your product and transcribe what you said to them. That's your sales copy.

Now should you design your logo first? And should you have individual logos for each.

Absolutely. Should you write different copy for each website? Of course.

Fiverr is great site for art but don't go for the "logo" designs. Why? Because you are paying for labor time not the actual quality of logo. So what I would say to you is go to:

26000+ Logo Designs - Logo Templates | GraphicRiver
    https://creativemarket.com/graphics
    Icons : Medialoot

You will be spending at least $30 per logo. Still insane value. If you find one on GraphicRiver you got a professionally designed logo (way better than fiverr) or grab an icon set and use a cool icon with text as logo.

Once you have a logo you are opening the door to further build your brand for your ebook. If you write a killer sales page it really won't need a logo or any graphics at all for that matter.

But... standing out and first impressions matter. Grab a logo - once you got one you can use the color scheme to help design the header, footer and even the cover. You can use that logo at the top and bottom of the page (small in footer, black and white?)

You can use the icon in your logo to brand your ebooks - slight watermark?

Literally once you have a logo you can start using it all over your website and ebook to brand it and most importantly stand out from the rest.

In the end - spend a little more and if you cannot edit it - than hire someone on Fiverr to make changes. I know this from experience. I have paid for a tonne of Fiverr gigs - most were awesome. But I am a designer and making things pretty to sell is all I do.

Logo for each ebook, brand the hell out of your website and ebook. Perhaps you might be inspired to work on it more or make changes.

If you don't think it matters - than you might noticed the time you purchased a PLR written ebook that looked WAY better and more fun, sold more, yet is the exact same content.

Awesome way Brad Gosse did it on his blog for his Chronic Marketer book (I have it very awesome, was a gift!) He took PLR content rebranded it and gave it away to get to top spot on Amazon.

All he did was put his style and a tonne of lipstick on it and I bet those who read his ebooks over the similar others one - enjoyed Brads much much more.

    Hope that helps

    You guys are good!
Maybe you'd like to look at what he did?
I told him to do 2 alterations...
    1. give the text some color
    2. change the text on the sub heading, as "months" does not read well, "s" is not very clear.
Used my real name...it's not a great name for a book...
I would have preferred to use 1 logo for all the books...but cos it's the same remedy... people won't like that...best people don't know I am selling the same remedy for diff ailments...the remedy def works...that's all that counts

Both are pretty good graphics, so it would appear money well spent.
My only problem with both is the apostrophe in "nature's" - it shouldn't be there!
The apostrophe denotes a missing letter, as in a contraction of "Nature is".
Some people will notice, some won't, but the ones that do notice will be seriously pissed off about it.
The ones that don't notice, won't notice either way, so it's up to you.
