What are some question to ask in order to value/price ad spots on a website?

What are some metrics i need to be looking at in order to price any available ad spots?

    Put Adsense ads on your site and let it run for at least 30 to 60 days.

    Then take what you made with Adsense times 2 or times 3 for each particular
    ad spot and you have a fair market price.

    If you price your ads around those price points you will most likely find
    buyers for your ads and they are going to get a fair price.

    Another strategy would be to find an affiliate product that is related to your site
    and put up a banner for that and let it run for a while. Then you'll know
    how much your traffic is worth for an affiliate. You can then either
    sell the traffic at a rate that would still make sense for affiliates or
    continue to run ads for affiliate products.
