    Here's a VERY in-depth article about Wordpress security. This is my favorite resource since it includes .htaccess fixes that you can implement, as well as the best plugins to enhance your security: The Definitive Guide to WordPress Security - Moz

    Keeping word press secure. That is an oxymoron. It is like jumbo shrimp, business ethics, or honest congressman... I can also tell you that using a database will slow your web site down and consume mega resource. Best solution is straight HTML on a secure server.

    You can secure your WordPress site by Protecting wp-config.php file will help your site to be safe from Hackers.
    Every WordPress installation has it's wp-config.php file, which owns all the confidential information of Database Name, Username & password. So it's pretty important that you protect it at all costs.
    This file "wp-config.php" is always in root folder of WordPress installation. You must secure it via .htaccess ,
    Simply paste this code in your .htaccess file.
    Code:
    <Files wp-config.php>
    order allow,deny
    deny from all
    </Files>

    I hope this will surely help...
