Technical question...

Hi all... I recently downloaded a PLR product to give away free to grow my list. With this product came a reseller page that I cannot figure out how to migrate over to my own website. It is simply an .htm page that I can pull up and is saved on my computer, but how does one make it a working page on their website??

Thanks!

Do you want this .htm page to be a page on your site? In this case you need to upload the .htm file to your webhost and place it in the root so it will appear as http://www.yourdomain.com/xxx.htm

You need to register a domain name (Web Hosting Services and Domain Name Registration : 1&1 Internet Inc.), get an account at a hosting service (many people like Web Hosting, Reseller Hosting, and Dedicated Servers - Website Hosting w/ cPanel - HostGator or Web Hosting, VPS and Dedicated Servers | midPhase.com), upload the .htm file as well as any graphics, upload the free report in a separate file, then link to it from your sales page.

    One quick way is to...

    - copy the source code of the sales page:

    Right click on the page:
    view the source:
    select all:
copy the source code of the page:

    then...

Create a new page at your site and then put it into html mode.

Name it close to the name of the product for now so that you can find it fast.

It will appear the the outside world as www.yoursitename.com/newfilename.htm (or html )

    - clear out all the code from the new page you just created. ( it should be completely empty )

    Then...

    - paste the source code of the sales page into the blank new webpage at your site:

That will easily get the text of the sales page into a webpage at your site.

Close/save the page and take a look.

If the sales page also has images...

    You'll have to...

    - upload all the images for the page to your image folder at you site:

You can right click the images on the sales page and save them in your "My pictures" folder on your hard drive.

Better yet, create a new folder in your my pictures folder so that you can easily find all the images you'll want to upload to your site and your sales page.

    Then...

... you can use your file manager utility at your hosting account to upload the image files into your image folder at your hosting account.

Look for the new folder you just created on your hard drive and the image should be there.

At your hosting account file manager utility...

( make sure you're in the "image" folder at your hosting account in file manager - before you upload the image files from your computer.

    - If the images don't show up on the page...

You need to make sure the images are correctly pointed to the html of the new sales page at your site.

Normally the sales page images will point at the image folder and everything will show up correctly. ( re-seller files are set up this way )

Good luck and have fun because you get over this small hurdle you can slap up all the product sales pages you want - quite easily.

    Hope This Helps!!

    Ps.

Of course you can ftp the file and images into place but that another can of worms for you right now.

CC, I added more and clearer instructions to the post above so you should refresh your browser before attempting the operation.

It's should be less than 10 minutes for this operation even for newbies.
