How Do You Get Your CONTENT For Your List Building?

Having been learning a lot from you IM guys [gurus] here, I have made his year my year of list building not just list building but quality and targeted list marketing methods.

I want to know where and how you get your contents for the list building. such as:

* The Free ebook report or the free video.
* The follow up valuable contents.
* The interested topics to write on.

Most escpcally if you are not too familiar with the niche. Any online resources out there to get these free especially if you are running on low budget?

Thanks warriors.

I honestly get it from my brain.

I'm also always VERY cognizant of what's going on in the world of my target demographic.

My advice? Become a STUDENT of the game...

Always stay abreast of whatever trends are circulating in YOUR industry.

Of course, depending upon what your industry is, and who your demographic is, will determine the best way to accomplish that.

So, to summarize, become a STUDENT of your demographic. And never stop learning and reading news.

Hot current trends, and knowing the CURRENT psychology of your demographic is the BEST email content you could ever create.

Just my $.02, and I hope this helps.

Just go find some really good online marketers, subscribe to their YouTube channels, subscribe to their blogs and watch what they are doing that makes them successful!

All you have to do is reverse engineer!!! Learn what they are doing and re-do what they are doing but in your own style so you can brand yourself!

I get the content by creating it myself.

As for topics, "ya gotta know the territory". Study your niche market demographics. What sites do they visit? What do they read? Watch on TV?

Immerse yourself and create content about what they are interested in now. As one of the classic copywriters (Collier?) put it, "you must enter the conversation already taking place in their head."

As for getting everything for free, let me ask you this...

How can I get my book covers and other images professionally designed without having to pay for them?

    Think about it...

I disagree, if you know what you're doing, it can become easy
google trends is the first place I would look for content on my niche

and I do say google trends because it's a great place to begin
and also find other possible sources to get data on your niche
      currently hot topics.

you just need to collect enough data to make it easier for you to
write juicy hot content and then once you do it the more sources
you will find because once you know what the foundation is
the rest will fall on top

I think you nailed it with this one JohnMcCabe can I ask you
what sources you use for collecting data on your chosen niche market
or demographic? as this would be helpful information not only to me but
      to many other warriors.

Mailing list brokers are an excellent place to start. I don't mean email lists, I mean the lists direct mailers use. Just Google "direct mail lists" to get several, and find the one you like or has the most choices for your niche.

Put in the niche, say "saltwater fishing" and look at what comes up. It will likely be a mix of print magazines and catalogs. Make a list.

From that list, you do two things:

        1. Go to sites like Alexa or Quantcast, and put in the websites for the magazine or catalog. Note the demographics.

        2. Read the magazines and catalogs, either online or off. Pay attention to a year's worth and you should have a pretty good handle.

Add in the usual online stuff, like forums, social media monitoring, search trends, etc.

It can be pretty intensive, so my methods aren't for the GRQ or Easy Button crowd...

You may want to find an online video that talks about the niche you are building a niche for, and then writing up something that discusses the ideas in the video in more detail. Create a follow-up email series on the topic, and invite people to join your list in order to get the other emails.

Everything is derived from stories and entertainment

My favorite topics I like to talk about are golf, seduction / sex, and lifting weights...

So I talk about those and how they relate to making money

It all depends of your niche. A great way is just to write with your own words. Like you are talking with a friend but always telling quality information. So imagine you are with a friend explaining for example Internet Marketing then write that down. If you have tried products that had helped you then recommend those products. Always quality content.

If that is a Little difficult you can also get PLR articles and modified them with your own words.

You can learn a lot by Reading PLR articles and implement this with Internet information and your own knowledge.

    Hope this helps =)

Here is what I personally do to constantly come up with new and interesting content for lists in different niches.

Step 1) Create a new twitter account for each niche you are needing content in

Step 2) Create a new free hootsuite account and hook up your new twitter account too it.

Step 3) Go to https://followerwonk.com and click on the "search twitter followers" tab. Type in your niche into the search box.

Step 4) Sort by social authority and follow all of the top ranking accounts. These are all the influencers and "top dogs" in your niche.

Now you have a constant stream of in your hoot suite account of new content and ideas that are happening in your niche. Every time you need to come up with a new ebook/giveaway/email content or anything else simply login to your hoot suite account and check out what the top influencers in your niche are talking about and what content they are sharing. Now re-write/purpose what they are sharing and your done.

      Simple as that

        Hi criniit,

Mike here, another newbie with the same basic question as the OP.
I'm intrigued with your suggestions and the social media methods are touted often.
I however am clueless about twitter, and wonder how in the world you guys keep up
with the constant checking, posting, tweeting etc. Especially if you have several, or
        even tens of twitter accounts.

Am I over-thinking this? How do you keep up with it? Is there a preferred way or
method you could share with me (us)?

        Regards,

        Mike.

I find searching around the top forum will give you a good idea what is hot topic around your niche. For example internet marketing niche you can browse through warrior forum, find out what people are interested about, then write content about it.
If you are not good on copy writing, you can always outsource it for $5.

I have a collection of thousands of feeds in

    feedly: your news. delivered.

    in dozens of categories.

Every morning, I read news content for whatever niche interests me.

Feedly is a feed-reader and one of the few tools I consider to be critical and key to staying abreast of what's going on these days.

I'll also share my day to day thingees and the like.

Always become a 'real person' to those who are reading.

Well, you can either create your own eBooks and videos, or use PLR content. Creating your own products will cost you more. If you have a limited budget, go for PLR. There are millions of eBooks, videos, reports, graphics, and articles with private label rights. Most of them cost only a few dollars, so it's a great bargain.

    Hi,

Different strokes for different folks. The approach to ebook creation definitely will be different for everybody.

First of all, what you need to do is to get familiar with the niche. You need to understand what the niche is all about. Sign up with the niche forums and go through all that is being discussed so that you can understand the terrain.

Secondly, another place to learn about your niche depending on the niche is on youtube. Here, you will get visual demonstrations about how stuffs are being done.

In the creation of ebooks, when you understand your niche very well, identifying the need of that niche becomes a bit easier. For instance, in the IM world, the recurring problem that most newbies and some old marketers are faced with are traffic, list building etc. Every niche comes with its own peculiarity.

In addition, when you spend time in your niche forums, you will identify and discover some threads that generates a whole lot of interest. If the interest, is based on a problem, then providing solution to that problem in the form of an ebook is a sure way to go.

In getting the follow up content that will be of interest to the people, I utilize type in my keyword into the ubersuggest to get different related keywords. I cherry picked the interesting ones and make content out of the keywords. Again, you can also type in your keyword into google search bar, you will discover that different related keywords based on what people are searching are displayed. Those are also interesting keywords that content can be built upon.

The beauty of these whole thing is that they are all free and you wont be spending a dime.

    Hope this helps

I have a few staff writers that can produce content for me when needed. Though most times, I will simply write things for myself if I have the time and feel motivated to do so. Developing your own team of writers is important and can take time and effort but is worthwhile. You should only hire the best writers and pay them well as professional copywriting and articles will pay you back much more than you paid.

Join some PLR membership sites.. Many of them have a free access and trial (some offers $1 trial for around 3-7 days) so if you're on a low budget this can be your options to find resources for those 3 points above..

Put a little works for your giveaway.. Find some PLR eBook, rewrite, and make your own ecover ($5 on Fiverr).. For me, I use PLR eBook and broken them down to use it for my follow-up valuable contents..

It won't cost you more than $10 with this..

    Hi,

    1. LEARN.

    2. TRY.

    3. MASTER IT.

    4. GROW FROM WHAT YOU LEARN.

    5. SHARE!

    6. Build a list and share what you've learned.

    7. Don't use any old re-purposed PLR out there.

    8. ASK your lists what their BIGGEST challenges are.

    9. Create your products and services around people's needs and
    desires.

That is how you build a ultra responsive list that is desperate to
buy your products and services that offer REAL solutions to their
    problems.

I like to be involved in creating content myself, even when i outsource / ghost write the actual writing to professional writers. Coming up with the idea for the content and the outline and actually having the talent to put it in writing are two different things.

You don't need to find followup emails. You can create them yourself. Start with offering value in the first let's say 5 emails. Then do a promotion on a product you think you're subscribers would dig. And just keep adding 5 value emails and 1 promotion and so on.. You can get content ideas everywhere online. Why not create you're own video or video course for your bribe.

the key in email marketing and online marketing in general is to offer a solution to the problems your audience is facing, so if you want to know what the most common or biggest problems are for the people in your niche, search the forums related to this topic and you can read what the people are talking about mostly, what problems they are facing.
and if you are looking for content and freebies to give away, i would suggest searching for PLR content, there is a lot of free or very affordable PLR on the web that you can find. even simply googling your niche, looking what comes up on the first page, you can use this information and put it in your own words and put your own twist on it will get you a long way
