I went to connect to one of my websites today through FileZilla and I wasn;t able to access so I logged in through Cpanel and wanted to see my AWStats. It gave me this message

Error: Couldn't open config file "awstats.listbuildingcashmachines.com.conf" nor "awstats.conf" after searching in path "/usr/local/cpanel/base,/home/listbuil/tmp/awstats/,/etc/opt/awstats,/etc/awstats,/etc,/usr/local/etc/awstats": No such file or directory

- Did you create your config file 'awstats.listbuildingcashmachines.com.conf' ?
If not, you can run "awstats_configure.pl" from command line, or create it manually.

Check config file, permissions and AWStats documentation (in 'docs' directory).
How do I fix this?

    Mike,

I've seen that before. Usually web host shenanigans.

Try again in a few hours, once the geeks have left for their Saturday night D&D session.

Hey thanks Steve... Now I can relax knowing that I probably didn't do anything on my part

Could be a number of reasons, but the most common is because you changed your rewrite rules.

It means that your rewrite rules are redirecting all non www URLs to ones that include www. To access your statistics try the following URL (replace the two instances of yourdomain.extension with your actual domain name):

    http://www.yourdomain.extension/cgi-...main.extension

OK, but that seems a little unlikely...

Seems to me, if Mike changed his rewrite rules, he might remember doing so...

I have also seen this before but had to open a ticket because I was on my own rack, but it could not hurt to open a ticket just in case it has gone un-noticed by support, )

I logged a ticket with my hosting company... When I try to use FileZilla I get an error

Connection attempt failed with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server".
This is aggravating to say the least...

      Mike...

Honestly, this sounds like some routine maintenance.

It's a pisser, but it has to be done.

I reckon it'll be back to normal for you in a few hours.

        Mike,

I had similar problems in the past with the likes of Domain Central & 3ix,
At the time from memory they assured me it was only routine system maintenance & that the problem would be corrected once the server had been updated.

After a few hours I tried again & still the same thing happened, I was at that time ready to throw a tanty lol, after speaking with my local ISP they suggested I speak with my webhost & request they check my IP was not blocked in their firewall, also to request them to flush their DNS I think it was.

Sure enough that seemed to fix it & I was once again able to continue on my merry way, in saying that though, one never knows what all these hosting companies get up to behind closed doors.

        Regards,
