Getresponse API double OPT IN question. JVzoo or warriorplus purchase question

hey guys, So this questions is regarding the double opt in from GetREsponse when it comes down to using integrations tools requiring the API key.

It's regarding purchases made from Jvzoo or WarriorPlus, they have there integration buttons that say they will add them directly to your email list, but since it's a API key you're going to get a double opt in.

the problem for me is that we all know once someone is going to buy one of your products they don't want to start jumping around left and right confirming email and what not.

So just wondering if anyone found a way around the double opt in from sales made to Jvzoo and warrior plus, even paypal.

thanks for the help guys
regards, JeanMarc

GetResponse will turn the API to single opt-in if you show them the sales funnel.

I was having the same problem with this, when I talked to GetResponse's support they said this feature was only available to people who signed up through JVZoo (using JVZoo's affiliate link I'd imagine) and since I had my GR account before I had a JVZ account it wasn't available to me. This was back in December when I inquired, has anything changed?

I had a script made that does automatic opt-in for ClickBank, PayPal and any other system that passes data to the download page. GR approved my site(s) for using it with single opt-in.

It's called GRAPISO and is free.

Is this a Joke? Only for people who subscribe through JVZoo? And the rest? Are we crap?

Can someone confirm if there's an update for this? If not, bye bye GR.

        Hi there!

        Sorry for any confusion.

Anyone using their own script and utilizing the API key for a custom integration for sign ups may have the opt in setting set to single by completing the form: https://app.getresponse.com/feedback.html?optin=yes and having the Compliance Team take a quick look at your funnel and sign up page (ensuring they are legitimate).

The association/option with JVZoo is that if you sign up for a GetResponse account under the JVZoo affiliate, by default your first campaign created in that account is set to API single opt in by default.

        I hope this helps!

If you can't use single opt-in, make a custom confirmation page which will be a link to your download page.

You can make a custom subject line that contains the word confirm. A quick example...

Your (Product Name) Download confirmed Bonuses...

In this case you add an extra bonus and over deliver. It is amazing that so many vendors do not use their autoresponder to insure their product gets delivered and cut support issues down to a minimum.

When they click the confirmation link in the email they should be redirected to your download page with the extra bonus.

    I hope this is helpful,

Thanks I really like that Idea of offering the bonuses in the Email, That way they subscribe.
If after contacting GetResponse they don't let me single opt in on API I will definitely go with that route.

      Thanks I appreciate everyones input

The answer is not as simple as contacting GetResponse and showing them your sales funnel. I ran into this same issue, and I was finally routed to GetResponse's Privacy and Compliance department. Before they would make an exception for me by allowing me to only perform a single opt-in via the API key, they required that I answer the following questions:

Here's GetRespones' Reply From Their Privacy and Compliance Dept.:

"In order to consider your request for
single opt-in for API subscriptions, we
need you to provide us with the answers
        to the following questions:

        1) Are the contacts aware of the fact that
they are being added to a mailing list?
Their explicit permission must be expressed.

        2) What are your expectations regarding
the size of the list? How many contacts
are you going to add daily?

        3) Which campaign do you wish to be set
        to single optin API?

        4) please let us know the URL of the
page where your webform is located

Looking forward to hearing from you."

You no longer need to contact support, simply follow this link and answer all the questions:

    https://app.getresponse.com/feedback.html?optin=yes

Note: you have to fill in a different form for each campaign.

    Hi Abby,

Thanks for updating. To recap: Anyone with a GR account can still use the single optin integration with JVZoo by completing the form right?

    Thanks,

    Diego.

      Hi Diego,

Anyone who wants to request this for any campaign, no matter its affiliation, that receives
sign ups via API may fill out the form via the provided link. The JVZoo aspect
comes in where your first campaign is by default single opt in for API, and other other
campaigns in your account that you are working with JVZoo (or any other), you may fill out the form to request single opt in for that campaign's API subscriptions.

      Thanks!

Just changed to single optin of that specific list in its settings but still I am not getting subscribers. Do I have to apply? If so, it should have been stated in the JVzoo in the first place b/c we have already started campaign and are loosing subscribers.

I'm a little late to post, but I just found this thread and thought I would chime in. I actually just finished speaking with a few internet marketers who have never requested for single opt-in to be turned off via WarriorPlus integration specifically.

They simply go into their settings and uncheck the 2 little boxes for single opt-in and presto! Buyers are automatically added to their list in GR. These guys are trustworthy, and when I asked them about "requesting" single opt-in via API they had no idea what I was talking about.

    Am I missing something here?

I'm currently trying to switch to GR, and made the request via the form above for my API integration in W+ and single opt-in. The reply was that I needed to add a "privacy policy" hyperlink to my WSO here in the WarriorForum. I've never seen a WSO with a "privacy policy" hyperlink :/

Not that I object to doing it, I have a privacy policy I can use right away no problem. It just seems I'm missing something here... ???

      Hey Mark..

I currently using W+ too and integrate my subscribers with GR API with a single opt-in setting..

When I test my purchased (not via test purchased, but actually pay with my other PP account), I noticed that I've been added to my list without a confirmation email and I was added to my own list based on my PP email address....

So I guess if we're using W+ with GR single opt-in integration your list will still automatically be added..

But with JVZoo, the confirmation email is still coming even though I use a single opt-in setting in this campaign ( I use 2 platforms, W+ and JVZoo selling the same product and they integrate to the same campaign in my GR account)..

The reason why there are no WSOs with a Privacy policy in my opinion is just because we all already know that once we buy it, we will get a link to download our purchase sent to our inbox.. LoL

        Thanks for the response!

You are 100% correct. I just did a test purchase and email was automatically added to GR. No need to fill out a request form.

Very happy with GetResponse because of this. And they have a ton of great features.

List has been imported....all campaigns have been integrated....and NO MORE sending emails to get single opt-in approved EVERY time I'm about to post a new product!!

        Bye bye Aweber

  • With GetResponse its going to be like that..

Until you get some people confirm, then they will change it to single optin.

    It's for security reasons.

Whats why I use both Aweber and GetResponse..

    Aweber:

Can get leads with single optin with integrations
Can't import contacts without them having to confirm

    GetResponse:

Double Optin can't be changed with integrations
    Can import without confirmation required

    I have both.
