Zipping Files for Universal Download

Hey guys, I'm putting together a product with multiple files and want to use a zip-file utility to make it a single download. What are you guys using so that everyone can unzip the file easily regardless of operating system?

I'm on a PC if that makes a difference.

Thanks for your suggestions.

7-zip.org is free open source software that zips files. This is maybe what you need.

It depends, whether you are sending them via email, or posting it on website, or etc. for earlier you can do any free software, for online, I think you will need to protect the file and place it outside the normal directory, you can do easily by zip and can also make zip files on the fly. and save your bandwidth !

    --files folder
    --www
-- temp files (temp zip files)

Thanks, everyone for the help. I've used 7-zip and Winzip before, but I wanted to double-check that if I used my pc zip utility everyone would be able to unzip it regardless of operating system. I've been around long enough to remember when people on macs couldn't unzip pc files without complications. Anyway, thanks again to everyone that responded.
