Is It Just Me, Or Does This Javascript Link Cloaking Code Not Work Anymore?

This seems to not work anymore:

onmouseover="window.status='http://www.whatever.com';return true;" onmouseout="window.status=' ';return true;"

Anyone have another solution to quickly and easily cloak a link or a fix for this?
