Ok started some new mobile campaigns today on Facebook... MY CTR is great and I'm getting a lot of clicks but NONE going to my website... WTF? 2700 clicks and NONE to my website. Where did they go?? Anybody ever seen anything like this before?? I'm tracking on everything so it's not on my end. This is crazy.

If you mean that your clicks don't show up on analytics.

I had the same issue - and i emailed them.

Here is part of their response...

We report on clicks for Facebook ads. Many third-party reporting packages report visits or page views, which may not correspond directly to clicks. Additionally, some third-party reporting packages require that the user's browser have cookies, Javascript and/or images enabled in order to record statistics, which may result in undercounting clicks relative to the clicks reported by Facebook Ads.

Statistics measured at daily intervals may be based on different time zones. For more information, please consult the documentation for your third-party reporting package. Google Analytics documentation related to this issue can be found here: http://www.google.com/support/google...y?answer=55610 .

If your ads link directly to the site you're advertising and you're tracking ad clicks by looking at page visits with facebook.com as the source, it's likely that your statistics will be significantly different than Facebook's reports. This is an expected discrepancy, as many of the visit sources will be lost with this kind of tracking process. In general, analyzing your Facebook ad campaigns by looking at referrer URLs does not provide the most accurate picture, and we encourage you to implement a different solution.

There are a variety of ways to make your website analytics more accurate than relying on referrer URLs. You can link your Facebook Ads to unique URLs that are only used for your Facebook ads campaigns, or add an extra, identifying parameter to your URL.

  • Facebook changed the way the clicks are working, I think you have to be on top how you pick the campaign there are some that the clicks count and you pay but they don't go through.

Clicks and website clicks are two different things.

Clicks mean any clicks people have made on your ad. This includes clicking on your photo, clicking the like button, share button, etc.

Website clicks mean people who clicked through to your website. These are the ones you are looking for.

But have anybody seen 2700 clicks and 0 to website? I seriously didn't get 1 visitor from any of those campaigns.

With all the "click jacker" software making the rounds, might you be a victim?

You can link your Facebook Ads to unique URLs that are only used for your Facebook ads campaigns, or add an extra, identifying parameter to your URL.
This might be an option. Are you redirecting from FB?
