Adding Audio To A Webpage

Hi Warriors,

I'm looking for a way to add "audio buttons" to my webpages. Is there something you can recommend? (Perhaps a service or something.)

Many Thanks,

  • It depends on the complexity of your project.

If you are talking about hundreds of buttons (if you are building a shop)
then you would use a script and customize it similar to our shop here:

Wav Store - WAV Files For Music And Multimedia Productions.

If you just need a few buttons on a sales page such as our:

    www.InstantSoundFX.com

    or

    www.FutureSoundFX.com

Then you can use soundcloud like we did to host the sounds and buttons.

Thanks Arnold. It's only 9 buttons.

Something I forgot to mention is that I'm looking to use my own (designed) buttons/images to play the audio files. Can that be accomplished with SoundCloud?

  • My customization only went as far as sizing down the full soundcloud player into simple buttons and dropping them on top of an image to do the job. Have a look at their custom player options in both the free and paid versions to see if it could suit your needs, and check here too: https://developers.soundcloud.com/

    and this page: Hacking-the-soundcloud-player-part-1-2

Soundcloud of course is only 1 of tons of options online, but it seems to be pretty popular when you just need a few audio buttons or player on a site (starting at free).

  • Would SoundCite work (add inline audio to text content)?

Thanks guys. I've been doing some reading: Is there a way to add audio using HTML? (And, if so, can I use my pre-designed buttons?)

You can use the following code:
<a href="audio.MP3"><b><img src="01.png"></a> here, you need to put your audio file name instead of "audio.MP3" & you need to put the button file name instead of "01.png"

Check out AudioAcrobat.com. You can either stream the the audio on your site or place a download link. You can fully customize the players, including using your own website colors. We've been using them for years and have been very happy with them.

      Hope that helps!
