Hello everyone, I'm wondering if I hyperlink words on my posts to direct to amazon products, do you think 1 to 2 links per post would be fine or would it be too spammy?

    Hey

    When i make review sites for Amazon products, i use no more than 2 links which are usually a clickable image and a text link.

    Hope this helps!

    I would say that really depends. Since more and more sites are doing that, more and more people are getting use to it. If you do that but also have a ton of other ads, probably too much. But if there's a good balance, should be fine.

    Only thing is, some might get annoyed clicking a link in content thinking it links to another page but instead end up on a product page. So just make sure that you do something about making sure that content links and promotional links are not the same. Don't know what you're using to create the links, but if manually, maybe make them different color.

    End of the day, it depends on your particular audience/readers. So testing is the best way to start.

    Good luck!

    Depending upon the length of the post, you can use more links. But I use max 2 links per post as it gives a more natural look to the readers and the user does not feel like you are compelling him or her to buy the product.

    Like it was mentioned earlier it depends on how long the post is but text links seem to convert really well for me. On a 500 word review I like to have 2-3 text links and that seems to work the best for me

    I generally do one to two links per post as well. The only time I do more that that is if my article is pretty long or if I'm writing some sort of list of resources.

  • I think you can do like that if you post has value.

    For example, I am doing travel niche.

    I tell them the story.

    Like this:

    He did this, he kill the enemy.

    {link}

    bla bla bla

    bla bla bla

    {link}

    end.

    Still work.

    If your post has value, nobody cares about the link.

    If you write 400-500 words review then I think 2 links will be the best.

    Just having a link in the article is not likely to get many clicks. I would use some graphics with a strong CTA.

    As a reader, I'd be fine with it, as long as it's obvious that the link would lead to a product page.
    I personally don't like clicking on links hoping to find more information, and then ending up on a sales page...

    If you make the contextual links relevant and compelling visitors will click through. I'd limit the overall affiliate links site wide as much as possible adding plenty of informational articles that link to your review pages. 2 links to a 500-600 word review should be fine but balanced by some articles without affiliate links.

    I'm a big fan of using the Wordpress plugin 'Pretty Link' - and clicking the 'no-follow' box for my affiliate links. I'm quite convinced that I don't want Google to make the judgment that my site is just a niche affiliate site - and by no-following all affiliate links, it helps.
