Do not fall into the brainwash machine

Are you brainwashed to believe that there are some magic buttons, or some underground software that can make money for you on autopilot when you are sipping long drinks on the beach?

Or

Are you brainwashed to believe that making money online is so hard and difficult that you need to purchase all the guides under the sun and need help from every IM guru ever borne before you even start to do something online?

In my opinion, both those extremes are wrong.

Both those statement is advocated of people who have their own interest in mind when they tell you this. And those statements are not always in a direct form. They can be delivered in an indirectly way, as well.

Have you got many emails lately telling you that email marketing is dead, and in the same e-mail, you find a link to a new solution?
An affiliate link of course.
Have you ever reflected over the fact that those messages telling you that email marketing is dead is delivered to you in an e-mail?

Have you ever read a book telling you that product creation is difficult and only for a few of us, and you see that the author's name is from someone you have never heard of before, and when you look up this person, you see that he joined this forum two months ago and have 15 posts on his belt? His agenda with this book is to sell you his fantastic affiliate marketing system. Alternatively, maybe it was a video not a book telling you this. Who cares, it still is a product, created by someone, or let me say, "nobody?"

And here is one of my favorites.

Don't even try to write articles if you not are a very good writer. I mean a VERY GOOD writer. And if you are a foreigner with English as your second languish, just forget to try to learn it. You are screwed anyway.

The solution for all of us who can't write and for those of us, who will never learn it, is to buy articles. However, only from those who really can write and know it too. You understand quickly that they know they can write because they charge your newborn for a few 500 words articles. It is, by the way, those people who tell you this myth in the first place.

I really hope that nobody is taking a peak up on the left corner of this thread and see where I am living .

I was even stupid enough a few years back to take a writing course even I am a foreigner, and my English is off the mark. Someone never gets it; you see .

In that course, I learned something very interesting. I learned that when you write you need to write so simple English that a second-grade student can read it and understand it. WHAT....

I could have given you a lot more samples of misleading's, but I do not see any point in pissing more people off then I already have, even that is not my intention with this thread at all.

Let us be honest with each other. There is no one, or very few people, in this forum who has your interest in mind as their highest priority, besides yourself of course.

I am not telling you that everyone is after your money all the time, and that's the reason for all the misleading info. There can be other reasons why they are telling you stuff that are not "that adequate."
It can be reasons as "show off," jealousy or bitterness that makes them wants you to buy into their reality.

Or the most dangerous of them all, they believe they are helping you.

Let me explain the last one a little and why this is SO dangerous for you.

Many people give out "know how" they have learned but never implanted themselves. Someone has told them in one form or another. Those teachers have learned from their teachers and so goes the chain leveled down in many years of "wisdom."

The truth is that no one ever has tested it out, alternatively, has been tested out 10 year back in time. Those "misleading's" can be both «what to do» and "what to avoid" kind of information.

And the informer truly believes that they have been SO kind and really helped you out. They sleep very well at night knowing that have been doing something good to all those people in this forum who is struggling. The truth is that they have not helped at all. They have done it worst.

Let me cover my ass a little here at the end of my "rant." I do not say that all the advices in this forum is wrong, or that I have not been guilty in misleading people myself without the purpose of it. I have learned a lot in here, and I know you will too. There are many sharp heads around in this forum.

What I want with this message is to wake you up and almost beg you to start to think yourself. Be curios, be skeptical, and be engaged. Ask follow-up questions. Find other sources of information. Compare them. Test thing out yourself. Don't be so damn afraid of failure. It is your life. You are responsible.

And finally, stop asking questions as "I am new, broke and can you please tell me how I can make money online."

How can we know? We don't know you, your background, your situation or anything else about you. And it is disrespectful to expect us to spend a lot of time to set us in, in your specific situation. Time is money for us, as well.

There is a search function on this forum. Use it. There are a lot of child forums in here, aka "Best Online Resources," "The warrior forum (paid), and a lot of free WSO's in the "Warrior Special Offers." There are even some threads named "all in one ...." where you can find a ton of stuff to dig into. You find the list of those at the top of this forum.

I tell you this in pure experience. I have been there, done that. I have purchased my share of bad products. I have wasted years of time, as well. And time is the only thing that I will not get back.

However, I have also purchased a lot of good products, got much of good advice in this forum, been lucky enough to get to know a great deal of nice people too. I love this forum.

And If I shall give you, one single advice at the end of this article that will create a ton of money into your bank account in the future it must be this.

Be unique and give people a solution to their problem. Start to change your focus from me to them. What can I give them? What do people want to learn? What do they want to know?

Remember this: "People are basically the same the world over. Everybody wants the same things, to be happy, to be healthy, to be at least reasonably prosperous, and to be secure. They want friends, peace of mind, good family relationships, and hope that tomorrow is going to be even better than today." A quote from Zig Ziglar.

There is also a famous saying from the late Zig Ziglar that sums it all up in "You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want."

And remember "There are no traffic jams on the extra mile."

If you walk the extra mile, you will soon become one of those who give damn good answers in here instead of asking questions.

Honestly I find it amusing when people are giving out advice left and right they haven't ever tested themselves. Usually my first question to someone making a suggestion - have you tried it yourself or you had a vision? There are "gurus" who make a living selling all kinds of expert opinions. If something does make sense on the surface - it doesn't mean it works or will ever work,

Great thread. It's okay to ask questions but as you said: Be curious, skeptical, and think for yourself. As far as writing your own articles, sometimes writing from the heart sells better or instructs better than perfect grammar. I rather read an article from a plummer who actually does the job and has actual experience on the field than listening to someone who may have perfect grammar and experience in writing, but knows nothing about plumbing. If you are not careful you can fall into being brainwashed to believe that something is a rule, and must be done a certain way, because 100 different people are repeating something that they never even tried.

Good thread, although i would not use the term "brainwashed". I would put these people into 3 categories:

    1) The Naive - people who will believe anything they hear or read.
    2) The Stupid/Lazy - people who can't think for themselves, don't question anything and are easily manipulated and want instant gratification with the least possible work.
    3) The Desperate - people who are at the end of their rope, have nowhere to turn. They will believe the most outrages claims as long as they promise to give them a better life.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.
