There are a few ways to find Traffic.

    Free:

    Forum Posting
    Facebook Posting
    Twitter

    Paid:

    Solo Ads
    Banners
    Adwords
    FB

Before going to paid one, make sure your funnel is in place or else you'll end up just burning that money you invest.

    Hey!

If you have never tried to get traffic then do some trail & error with free options until you feel comfortable going with paid advertising. I am still in the learning process and I wish I had done my trail & error with craigslist, twitter, facebook, forums, etc... instead of diving headfirst into google adwords.

    Just a suggestion.

Depending on your market or your audience you have many options. Are you starting a business? Then I assume you have some money to invest? Find a paid traffic source that you like and before you jump right in first do some time learning and educating yourself on this traffic source.

Hopefully your building yourself a list with your own unique landing page! Today you really want to be leveraging your marketing efforts.

Set goals and daily plans! IMPORTANT

Before you jump into getting massive traffic for your website, I would definitely improve your websites content.

Have valuable content so that people will not get turned off when landing on your website.
I used to have a niche market affiliate blogs where I just put product offer upon product offer and really did not focus on content but the traffic.

Its like opening a retail shop. Would you drive traffic into Mcdonalds if your mcdonalds have no burgers?

If your content in your website is very useful not to difficult to get the traffic first share your content on facebook and twitter.

  • why do you need traffic?

What can that do for you?

What do people who visit your website get.

The best way to get traffic is finding the people who can benefit from your site and pm them the link.

    Write less, advertise more.

That is the advice from the HOT BOY!

What works for one person, doesn't necessarily work for the next.

You'll need to test different traffic methods and see which traffic sources attract engaged visitors that convert into leads and buyers.

If you're on a low budget get SUPER active on social sites, comment on niche related blogs, network in forums, interact in communities like Triberr, Blog Engage, etc..

More importantly, be consistent with your efforts and make serving your market your primary goal.

    Hi Heartimpelled,

There are many ways to get traffic to a website, both paid and free.

Here are a couple of suggestions:

    Free -

Getting a Social Media Presence (Twitter, Facebook, Pinteret etc.)
    Article Syndication
    Your own Blog
    Forum Marketing

    Paid -

Paid search engine ads (Google, Bing etc.)
Paid Social media ads (Facebook, LinkedIn etc.)
    Banner Ads
Solo Ads - This is the biggest traffic generator for our site. You basically pay to put out an email to somebody else's email list, normally giving them a freebie, so that they sign up to your own list. The trick is to find really good list owners to promote you. I have put a link below to a site we use which has some great solo ad providers, and they screen them to make sure that they are all legitimate and have great lists:

Udimi - Buy solos and sell email solo ads

Youtube is great traffic, but you should try building a fanpage on facebook or get some followers on twitter. Paid traffic is good because it niche related traffic, but prepare to lose some money in the process.

      Hi heartimpelled,

Love the username by the way. How are you? Firstly well done getting started. Of course you had some fantastic ideas and I might find it difficult to add something new to it, however I will try my best and try and give advice based on what consistantly worked for me and some of my internet friends.

First thing you need to understand is the target market. Understanding your niche. Its no point targeting the wrong type of person, who not going to convert into $$$. That wasting your resources and potentially effect profitbility.

Its also important to remember that when your starting out your brand awareness will be non existant so its vital that you be aware that your actions has cosequences and starting off on the wrong foot will have damaging effect on future business.

I apoligise if I come across as stating the obvious. Please bare with me....

So traffic a funny old thing isn't it? Without you don't have a business, no matter what you do, but how do you get quality traffic.....

Well quality is always better over quantity, i'm sure you will agree with me on that. So its important to drive quality traffic to your site by having a desirable niche and has decent amount of monthly searches, you also want to make sure your content is current and fresh. Quality over qauntity again when content is concerned. You see I try to make it engaging as possible, trying to encourage my readers to reply. I also like to throw in some thought provoking articles, this can be either hit or miss but still it does the job of getting noticed. The most important thing I would say is.... STAY CONSISTANT.

So where can I get quality traffic? Well like previous posters stated, you have free and you have paid. Now only you can decide whats best for you and your business because you know the ins and out of your budgets, visions etc... Personally I alway try to start off with going down the free route because I don't want to start my business in the red.... and yes it means more work initally for organic growth but I find this more satisfactory. Now the only time I consider investing in traffic is when I am consistently making a monthly profit and when I feel I need to take the business to the next level.

But what is the best paid method....

Well there are two methods that has worked amazing for me in the past and has certainly contributed to increase in traffic and income. Now the first one is Solo Ads, i'm sure you heard of them so I won't go into too much. The first thing you need to consider when purchasing solo ads from someone is the quality he has to offer. Is he reputable? Does he have positive feedback from buyers? Where does the majority of the list coome from (Location)? If everything you see and read is to your satisfaction then maybe it worth taking a punt at it. My recommendation is to buy small at first and see how well that converts for you and if it does well then look to scale up. Now the only people I reccommend are....

      • Igor Kheifets
      • Zach Lee
      • Eugene Collinger
      Check them out....

Now other method that converted well for me is Facebook posting. This alone in the 3 months have generated $7300 in 3months. Its certainly not enough to give up your day job type of money but its enough to live confortably and its something I certainly don't take for granted. It takes some work and resources to get it going but in terms of converting high quality traffic into $$$ its certainly for me given me the best results to date.

I think that enough from me going on I hope its helps you somewhat. Please If you want more detail or I haven't covered something please reach out and I see what I can do.

      Good Luck

I've tried about every free way of marketing and you'll get alot of views but not many buyers from it. The 1st thing you want to do when marketing is find like minded people that are actually interested in what you have to sell. This forum is a great place to start as it is full of internet marketers and you're not actually selling anything but when you post helpful comments on people's post they might just check out what you are offering. Then I would recommend that you get a good website that can help people get targeted traffic as that is what everybody online actually needs. Lastly, I would order a WSO from this site or good business leads as I've seen members that have gotten 100's of sales with them & you can't beat the price for the quality of traffic and new members that you should receive from it.

      Hello Heartimpelled,

My best ways are thru Paid traffic like FB and Solo Ads.

Here is the thing....... when you first start out most want to go the Free Traffic route.

And that is fine. But once you start earning a little bit do not hesitate to plow back those earnings into some quality paid Traffic.

The beauty about it is that the same traffic that converts for my site might not necessarily convert for your site. It's really about tracking and testing, optimizing and testing some more and you keep doing this until you find your sweet spot.

You might want to create one landing page for one traffic source and another landing page used for another traffic source. Of course you just want to start with one and optimize that until you can generate an roi.

You also can reach a point where it's really not worth it anymore for that traffic source. Not to often though but its a good habit anyways to research your demographics for your traffic source and see if it lines up with your own demographics for your market and niche.
