Very new to this world of IM. I am interested in affiliate marketing and promoting affiliate products and have a question or two. First, do you need to have your own domain, hosting, and website to promote an affiliate product? Second, when you are assigned an affiliate link, hoplink, etc. from whatever program you participate in, what is the best way to market it? Thank you to anyone who can give me a kick in the right direction!

    Read read and read.

Try try and try for the best market.

Basically, take your offer, choose a means of promoting it, then keep testing until you turn a profit.

First, know that this forum has everything
you need to get started. So do some
research here before you jump in feet first.

To answer one of your questions, get a
domain name using keywords about the
      product you are promoting.

If you can afford to purchase a domain
(around $8) and hosting which you can get
for a penny for one month with hostgator, then
      start there.

Hope this helps just a little bit...

Use squidoo and write something informative about the products you promote..

As for promotion the best thing do if you're a beginner is to build your social network and promote your squidoo lenses there...

use twitter, facebook, myspace..any social network you can get your hands into..and start building some relationships there...Don't do hard sell just tell people of your informative squidoo pages (which contains links to products you promote)

No, you don't need a site to promote products. You can just spread your affiliate links on blogs, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, etc.

    Hey Alex,

    1. Yes, you'd prefer to have your own domain, so you could mask affiliate links as well as do what ever you want with it. Freedom is good.

    2. This is just too general of a question. I can't refer you to
my own products, but what I do advise is this:

do not waste time by trying to master all by yourself.
Pick up some courses, books, recordings etc and start
    implimenting.
