How Can An Introvert Build A Successful Offline Business

A friend asked me this question and he is about to start importing some products from Alibaba which he hope to turn into a profitable business soon. But his problem is approaching people to sell his products as he not the people-person. Though he is good with making plans and ideas, his problem is execution because he is an introvert.

How can he do well in such a case. I told him to get someone that can help with the selling but I don't know if I gave him a good advice. I also suggested that he could use list to sell his products by directing people from his facebook ads to his squeeze page and then market to them.

so, I need more input because he is currently viewing this page. Can an introvert become a millionaire is this world with such an attitude and do we have introverts who became millionaires please? please give examples if you have any.

Thank you.

Yes, you gave him good advice. Let him focus on what he is good at and maybe partner with someone who has the skills that he lacks.

If he cannot partner with someone then he can appoint someone. We cannot be possible good at everything!

I am no good at math, so I delegate / give that to someone else to do and focus on what I am good at and it works!

This doesn't sounds like a introvert problem, unless it applies only to tasks related to meeting/working with other people.

This is a good suggestion to start with. Sales people will also bring additional skills to the table, and your friend can focus on implementation part.

May be I didn't state it well... You are right, it has to do with meeting other people.

if you really don't want to meet people, focus on affiliate marketing and rank your site.
or provide seo services if you are good at it. especially seo services, if you are good at ranking, i don't even care you are anything........

I recently shared with a friend on how they could model my business and retire early. Their reply was, "You just have the personality for that, I don't." Truth is, it's not a personality thing, introvert/extrovert thing. It is a focusing of your efforts on a specific plan and work it. You'll either live in fear or take the risk. It has nothing to do with personality.

As far as your friend goes, there are limitations that our approach places on us. If he plans to sell personally - as opposed to Amazon or some other online marketplace - he can still do it. His approach needs to be real, friendly and meet a genuine need. Some people are suspicious of extroverts who act like used car salesmen. They are more comfortable being "sold" by a calm person who is genuinely addressing their need.

I think we all missed the important question here... how is he planning on selling these items?

Buying stuff with the intention of selling them is a great start, but he really needs a plan to sell and distribute them. While Ebay and Amazon are options for using other sites customer base to sell the products he could also create his own ecommerce store.

Any of that can be done by an introvert.

But if he's planning on going door to door selling bottles of soap (not sure what the products are) then he should definitely be hiring sales people who are good at sales. I'd ask him what he thinks is a good way to sell them, more than likely he has an idea in his head and some motivation to move towards it.

An introvert can easily work behind a computer and build something there. Why not build a website, and do something through internet marketing. There is no meeting there. In fact the website does most of the work of selling. Every question he gets can be answered through email.
