How Do I Track Buyers from an Affiliate Promotion??

Hi All,

I'm about to start a new list building project and have some affiliate offers to promote.

QUESTION: Is there any way to effectively know who my buyers are of the affiliate offer?

I am aware that I can 'instruct' my prospects to come back after the sale to grab a bonus (and hence know who is a buyer) but not everyone will do that.

Any input and thoughts on this would be appreciated.

    Use merge codes to include each mail recipient's e-mail address in the subid field of the affiliate links you place in the mail. When you get a sale, their e-mail will appear next to the commission in your affiliate network reports.

    You can use a user-id & give each affiliate a user-id to use. This user-id is uniquely identify for your buyer & it is a easiest way to track buyer.

    Hello Ken,

    This can be difficult to track your buyers.

    If you can not control Vendor's sale page or receipt page (ex: clickbank's receipt). I can recommend is in your emails you can either give a high value BONUS to buyers who buy through your affiliate link so that way they will email to you if they want to claim the bonus. And then you add these buyer emails to Aweber/Getreponse's buyer list, so same subscribed emails in the campaign list will be automatically deleted by automation rule.

    In case, you can contact to your Vendor or Marketplace (like Clickbank) to add tracking code to their pages, it is very easily to track all your buyers using automation rule of Getresponse or Aweber.
