Does Fear Stop you or do you use it as a motivator?

in the past when I was new to this business and even a long time after that I got fear stop me to grow bigger and do to the things I had to do.

It is a normal thing that you have this fear in you. The fear of failure or even the fair of success. You know you have to do certain things in your business but the fear is creeping in your mind that it's to big for you that you can't do it and you searching automatically for excuses not to do it.

If you don't go over this fear it might hold you back your whole life to reach the level you want.

I set goals so big that they scare me. I fear they are too big but that's exactly the point when I grow. I know when I feel to comfortable even when I have some progress that I don't grow.

The human mind is programmed like that, we getting lazy and let things slip. That means for me that fear is not stopping me, it's more kind of a motivation to set bigger goals and to grow.

Don't let fear stop you take it as a sign because the things you fear will bring you a step closer to your goals and to success. Use it as a motivator and accelerator.

I am not sure most people even realize they are afraid of success. Most would just chalk it up to being to lazy, when in reality their lack of motivation stems from fear of failure or as you say a fear of success.

I had a major breakthrough a while ago when I realized that every human being experiences fear at some point or another. It doesn't matter how successful you are or how well things are going, you will come across fear. because as humans we need to grow and develop in order to be fulfilled. so in order to do that we have to break through barriers and overcome internal fears.

So fear is natural. its part of the process. If you are experiencing fear it is probably a good thing because you are putting yourself in a situation where you can grow. The question then becomes in that moment are you going comfort yourself or are you going to face your fears and become more?

Its easier said than done, but if you can push yourself through fears consistently then your confidence and self esteem will grow, and your ability to overcome challenges in the future increases.

  • My fear was probably the worst when I released my first course. Chest pains and all. I'll never forget it. Now, I'm starting to document how I feel each time. Just did it today, actually. Not quite as nerve-racking as the first time.

The best advice is to keep pushing on. Grit your teeth and close your eyes for a moment if you need to, but don't overthink your way away from success.

Wow that must be intensive that you even had to deal with chest pain and other circumstances. It hasn't been that hard for me when I realised my first product but still I had a lot fear that people don't like it or that they make fun of me or some stupid things like that. BUT I got used too. I like the advice with closing the eyes. It can definitely help.

Why do our minds have to be so tricky! But back to the discussion, i think if we have the understanding that fear is NECESSARY if we are to grow and get past it & that it is only temporary. We have two options, we'll either fight, or we'll flight.

If we fight, we might land on our knees and scratch them up a bit yet still have a huge chance of winning, if not this time around, then the next; all we really need is progress to feel alive & proud of ourselves, not to get to the actual goal. By challenging ourselves to get through the obstacles, we are making LEAPS of progress that 90%+ of people are just not willing to do.

But if, on the other hand, we flight from the experience we have a garaunteed 0% chance of ever winning with no progress what so ever. It's a shame the comfort zone doesn't physically hurt us, but i believe if we have this type of understanding about it, that it will then hurt us mentally to not reach out for something that we may fear.

Sometimes we must improvise as we go along. About fear of success, we must start retraining our brain that we're not our past selves, our future is an empty canvas waiting to be painted. Start reading into the sucxessful people you admire, listen to what they say, their story, their setbacks, their beliefs. You will gain a lot of wisdom you may adopt for your own success in the future.

if you look at the majority of people who are not struggling every day..but not wealthy ..which is generally what is described as the group in a comfort zone..there is a lot of physical discfort involved ..it i just most have becaome numb to the pain..or everyone they know has similar discomorts so..it is something they have they can talk about with their friend ..

how many people though.. get puuled out of this numbness in very rude ways..

i watch part of a newer george clooney movie..wake up call i think it was.. didn't watch the whole thing ..but i believe he eithe ran or was high up in a company that came in when other companies fire or lay people who have work there for 10 20 or 30 years off ..

and i watched a few minutes of the movie while people where reacting to the news that they no longer had a job .

how many people though they had a safe investment in the stock market in 2006 .. then watch half or more of their investment evaporate in 20078 2009

then think about the other people who bought golf in the last two years on't to watch it go down down down ..

human being will put 20 times the effort in to avoid losing something than they will in to gaining something .

we would drastically improve the education system if they grading method we started out with had everyone starting with a 100 or a plus average ..

the fear of success is rooted in the fear that come from what they will imagine they will lose if they succeed

think about how people approach weight loss ..when they approach it from a mode of having to give up foods they lie to eat ..because they believe healthy food to eat do not taste good .. when there is plenty that can be healthy and good tasting .

poor skinny people .tend to eat some of the best tasting food for the fact it is one of the few pleasure they get ..and many of them know how to cook themselves ..

in any case it i don't think it works out to move from a comfort zone where you are just numb to the pain .. to working 16 hours every day..convincing yourself you are getting some where .

over and over there is a common them for people who are success ..no matter what economic level they are at because the guy who has been making pizza for 40 years and love getting up and making pizza in his shop every day .. is a success . even if he doesn't make millions a year .

successful people maximizes pleasure and purpose from what they do .. then trail profits ..but because what they do they can do 12 hour days 6 or 7 days a week.. they make more money over time .

most everyone else puts money first and places pleasure and purpose outside of when they work..so they want to spand as little time making money as they can .

when you do not have an accurate personal vision of success ..that you fear not getting.. you are left with a default socially programmed vision of success.that has lots of biases .

Totally agree, fear of failure is fear of success. I like to say that if sth doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you. So if you don't want to stay in one place your entire life, do things that challenge you and don't fear success!

Fear in my opinion is crippling. Danger is real but fear is a choice. Fear causes the mind to panic which also causes the subconscious to stall. The ideas that can very well change your circumstances will not be produced clearly because they are being blocked by your mental picture of what you fear.

F.E.A.R. (False Evidence Appearing Real) Most of the time the things you "fear" are really not as bad as you may think. Our imaginations sometimes boost the situation to a very high level which causes us to feel overwhelmed or see things bigger than what they are. In order to conquer "fear" you must take control of you mind/thoughts. Keep them focused on your goal or the end result that you picture and the answers will come to you on their own accord and at the right time.

I think one of the biggest things about fear is recognizing it. We are all afraid of something, its those that refuse to acknowledge their fear, where it is coming from, and why it is there that have the most trouble. Is it a fear or failure, or fear of success -- both can be show stopping! And many people would think how silly it would be to be afraid to succeed, but it is a very powerful and relevant fear. Be open to sharing your fears, talk through them, understand them, and then act in spite of them!

Fear is more of a motivator for me. I use it as a tool for me to improve and to do what is best for my life. I also use it as a measurement when to stop and when to start. Fear moves me to be competent, strong and willing to take the risk.

Oh, and I also heard this a couple of years ago and liked it, but I don't remember where I heard it...

"Fear is panic disguised as reason."

    So true.

Most fear is cultivated based on false perceptions and imagined negative outcomes. If it's accepted, encouraged, nurtured and tolerated then it will only become stronger affecting other areas of your life and will prevent you from reaching higher, raising your expectations and making progress.

Your job is to prove fear wrong by understanding what it really is and using it as a motivator
and turning that fear into excitement, and charge full power ahead. Keeping the result or reward at the end of the task in mind.
