PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

I've heard a lot of different opinions on moral support. Some good, some bad. Some people say moral support is good because it gives you confidence and is an easy way to build an audience. At the same time, I've come across some negative opinions on moral support. One of the negative opinions I've come across is that moral support gives someone an easy way into a aproject without making a tangible contributions.

My personal opinion is that moral support is just as important as your tangible supporters. I believe that while someone will initially offer moral support, it's important to maintain that relationship. For all you know, that moral supporter may become a tangible contributor to your project. The last thing you want to do is burn bridges.

In my experience the very best kind of support is someone sharing the general goal with you and ready to support, but being honest. I mean, honestly and positively criticize if that person sees something wrong, discuss if something is worth that, approve and encourage if everything agrees.

Affirmations play a pivotal role in the development of the mind hence the moral support you need to excel in life. Why not give a whirl cosmic hypnosis and see yourself arise from the dust and get back on track by letting your feet wet in the mystic, for a change.

  Yep. I second this.. Your motivation should be self generating and not from external sources. Seek moral support from external sources to provide you with a sense of comfort and warmth but the flame from within must keep on burning.

I think people need moral support only when they are young. As soon as they create experience, they should fly by themselves. It's generally one of those things that are harder on paper than reality.
If you truly want the best of the one you support, try to be invisble in your support. Be there like the support wheels, only touching the groung when the bycycle has erred.
It's a bit counterintuitve to want to help and do worse.
