Turning Negative Thoughts and Depression into Success!

Well i just wanted to post what was on my mind. I just want everyone to be successful and happy. (i really do) I am actually a depressed person in real life. I don't really find enjoyment out of life anymore. I am currently not on any medicine nor do i plan on it. I deal with my anxiety and depression by working on my business and spending time with my son and fiancee. What i'm getting at is yeah there are negative people around the world for sure, but you CAN do something to change that. With that being said i run a successful seo and web design company..I created the business when i was depressed and i still run it and i still go through very dark depression. If i can overcome the negativity in life then i know YOU can. I told you what i do to cope with my negative and depressing thoughts. I would like to here other warriors on this subject. Just answer the questions below.

1. Are you depressed and if so why?
2. Do you think negatively or positively?

and last but not least i need you to explain in a few sentences why it is generally bad to be negative all the time and how this could effect others around you in a bad way.

Thanks and looking forward to hearing some responses!

I'm on the uphill swing, after dealing with a pretty bad depression. I lost and gave up quite a bit in the course of 3 years, and life just caught up. It was time for a change of direction.

I can find the good in just about anything. I never really was a negative person, but negativity from people around me overwhelmed my senses and I didn't know how to deal with it. It stressed me out pretty bad, ended up contributing to a lot of the depression. Being the undying optimist, there's only so much negativity and criticism you can be around before it starts getting to you.

3 sentences? Science backs it up. Think positive, release positive chemicals. Walk around being a negative *******, with gloomy eyes looking out into a grey cloud filled sky, and that's what you're going to get back out of life. It's not the woo woo voodoo talk, just science to show what's going on inside your brain.

How Positive Thinking Re-Wires Your Brain -

When you change your thoughts, you change your brain chemistry.

You can't understand the differences until you make active effort to change the way you think about situations. It's like giving up a drug addiction, it takes actively working away at it until you can look back and see the difference in your personality, over the course of months or even a few years, in my case.

You don't realize how good sobriety is until you're able to look back and reflect on the life you'd been working to get away from. It's the same way for negativity, redirecting your thoughts into becoming more positive and leaving the addiction to the negative behind.

Looking back, now, I'm happier than I have been in the last 8 years, but I'm still not as happy as I was at 21, 23, 25. I don't know if that will ever return, or if I'm older and get a different type of happiness, but whatever -- I'll take it. I'm content with where I'm at right now, but more than happy to keep pushing forward.

There's still days I'm grabing the "Fxcket Bucket" and filling that ******* up. Most days are good, these days, though.

to answer the last question ..in one word..epigenetics ..the environment you are in ..internally mentally and externally effects your genetic expression ..so if you are continually negative it will most likely age you faster aid in deterioration of your body and may even increase risk of cancer or other diseases ..

i am high function autistic, i have rapid cycling bi polar disorder, im am greatly affected by seasons ( so right now i am being pulled down by the cold) , the house i live in is enfested with mold .. the job i am working is low pay..and cold when it cold hot when its hot..and right now it's the kind of work that grinds me down.. ..there is back pain in there and a lits of other problems ..

anyway by the end of this month things should come together so i can move.. now i have this girl im talking to ..but she is young pretty..in a develiong country living in a house with cinderblock walls , sheet metal roof .. and she has bi polar disorder .. though it is not diagnosed ..and chrones disease ..

talking to her is the thing keeping me out of the pits of hellish depression.. and the psyche ward ..

now i was hoping to move 5 months ago to avoid the complications of winter time ..but it didn't happen ..

i know the condition i need to be in to be happy more of the time..where it is actually hard to not be happy ..where i need to live , there kind of house i need to live in.. the food i need to eat .. the things i spend my time doing ..the people i need around me ..(having this girl next to me..will make me very happy )

from listening to abraham hicks .. years ago it not so much turning negative thought or events into positive ..it is using the negative ..the what is not wanted to identify what you want ..

and from there it better better better ..this is good any i am not unhappy with it..but how can it be better ..

now having been through many..manny deep dark pits ..understanding their is an other side..help get you through and then.. putting your mind on what will make you feel better ..

then there are times you will just dive in to the shit and wallow around in it..but shut up.. because everyone else has their own problems ..and if you try to get them to understand your wallowing ..they will probably just add some poop to wallow in.. then you will have the ..aww no one cares about me or understands ..

i will never not be bi polar .. i will never not be autistic ..it matters because i spent way to much time and energy trying to fix myself ..life started getting better when i dropped that idea ..an started identifying the thing i needed to fix around me to function better with me

  • I figure the main deal with thinkin' positive is tryin' to work out the scope for whatever gonna happen next from where you are right now.

That now place is the real swinger here, cos that is the only place any motivation or demotivation gonna happen as a livin' deed.

We all wanna be top of our game, top of the heap, but it is a delusion to think that this is what bein' positive is all about, cos what any onea us wants gotta be set against what evryone else wants, which kinda means alla us are in the minority from the outset.

That means you can be in a bad place — accident, circumstance, foolishness, persecution.

But I figure the motivation rules gotta be the same as if you were lucky, clever an' praised.

Where am I right now, where do I start?

An' what is the next thing I can do to effect positive change?

    Evryone can swing on that.

If we ask the right questions, we start gettin' answers, whoever we are an' wherever we start out.

Problem with a lot of motivational thinkin' is that it focuses on the point of glory, an' while it is cool to have vision, you still gotta watch you don't trip up along the way.

Gotta tellya I have had a shitto, frustratin' day, strung out on a limbo of thorns, an' my success has been measured in the number of steps backwards I kept in check.

That was my start today, no point in swankin' around.

    Did I enjoy myself?

    Not much.

    Was I a grouch?

    Ha! Prolly.

But I made it through, an' I got sumthin' that will stand tomorrow after I crash into the sack like a wraith.

    I am necessarily weary.

It isn't "happiness" in the zenned-out yummolicious way, but I am happy with the outcome of this specific moment.

      Hi TWC,

Firstly, I would like to salute you that in a very severe depression you have created your own seo and web design business, because I am also the victim of this issue and also I am marketer but I cant afford to do business when I was in depression. Might be I was faced lots of Self Esteem Issues than you, or you had more, that's you deserve appreciation.

Now I am coming to your asked things; Yes I was also stuck in a very severe depression from my family side.

And last thing is yes there are negative and positive, here we have to make out own root to corner negative people and accept positivity. If you loud on negative then they wont let you live in this world. In simple word just get a side from negativity.

That's so strong of you being able to convert your depression into something positive. Not just simply positive but into something income generating. I have been into the same state before, somehow. But I believe no one else could help a depressed person but he/she himself/herself.

The same with what you did, I was also able to divert my attention to much important things which helped me a lot to get out of depression. That time, I just quitted my job so it intensified the feeling. Good thing I was able to think quick and that landed me into a new, better job. Then on, I was able to recover. Prayers do help a lot, too.
