Affirmations at the command line
On something of a lark, I recently created a little command-line utility for working on affirmations (of the Scott Adams variety).
I consider this a form of self-hypnosis, and that I am somehow tricking my subconscious into thinking that I am "programming myself." Or something like that. My thinking is that the command-line is the powerful way to interact directly with a computer, and so I am letting some part of me pretend that the command line is also the powerful way to interact with... oh, i don't know - my mind, or the universe, or whatever.
The script is available for free as a gist on Github.
