An extremely small piece of the puzzle for many people. Some people can accomplish in one hour what it takes others 5 hours to accomplish. For many people, taking an hour and screwing-off affords them an opportunity to clear their mental cache and return to their work, refreshed and clear-headed. By being able to better focus on their tasks, they accomplish much more in a shorter period of time.

Doesn't this make sense? Think about it. :-)

this is what i was talking with Claude about in the off topic thread ..successfull people focus on productivity and are aware of how to boost it.. average people or middle class and lower economically.. focus on putting in the time ...and not really understanding the role of productivity ..

I don't know maybe i'm just overly sensitive to the way successful people talk about productivity .. and sometimes they will put in a lot of time ..but that time will be focused on increasing productivity ..

if a successfull people is using time to learn something .. it tend to be something that they know they need to learn to improve their skills.. not justt hit some magical 10,000 hour barrier ..

but i'm biased in my view .. i may be missing something

When I was selling in people's home, I did an experiment. I tracked what I did all day. I was truthful (with myself).

        Here is what I found.

Even though I kept telling myself I was working all day, I was really being productive an average of 90 minutes a day. The rest of the time I was getting ready, traveling, eating, taking notes, and pretending I was working.

That knowledge was very liberating to me. So I decided to work...really work 4 hours a day, no matter how long it took. I found myself spending about 5-6 hours a day to work a real 4 hours.

It's that we lie to ourselves...telling ourselves how much we are working, how much effort we are putting in.

I also found out that for a three year period (that I measured) I had never gone longer than 8 hours of real work, between sales. Once you are aware of these realities, you cannot go back to pretending you are "busy" when you are not.

I hope everyone had a good Christmas.

I did. I wound up making reindeer stew. And Santa wound up taking Uber home.

Building relationships with your community is a great way to use time. Strong relationships with the right people can build long term success for your life and all those included.

Sharing ideas and information enforces trust in your way of life. Being at service opens the door to new opportunities. A free ear may comfort someone who has the next big idea to share with us that changes the world.

We all need help in a world that is stressed and invested in graveyards. ...And being supportive of the well being of others gives your community a friend or professional that is willing share his ideas to help heal uphold the values of life.

Life lives and gives, and many give and share their love, only to buried down the street headed by a stone that your dead.

I am a master procrastinator and until you can see the puzzle coming together and the light at the end of the tunnel peaking its head then it can be tough to stay motivated. Yes spartan14, I agree with you.
Successful people are willing to do what unsuccessful people are just not willing to do.
    • We take action, they complain
    • We set goals, they take it as it comes
    • We believe in ourselves, they question their worthiness
    • We accept responsibility, they blame others
Anyone can be successful if they want it enough!

It begins by looking at the self - not 'looking far away'.

We create for ourselves and resist electing things to blame externally for failures or shortfalls.

We can get to work in the engine room and get things moving or we can sit stationery in a cabin blaming the passengers.

That's the basic principle of the great virtue of responsibility...

the core self creates time to have experience

and everything in that experience is a piece of self having the experience of being separated from everything else in creation. with the illusion of distance ..where everything is in truth 1 point ..

so we can never really waste time ..but as a master of creating limits we can attach the false meaning of waste to the time we use .. and a false experience of loss of that time.

^ That doesn't negate nor relate to points raised about the source of personal responsibility.

I edited and inserted a quote however of the person I was replying to for clarity.

I compared me before and after mind programming and the results are stellar.

I stopped worrying about trivial things (things most have floating in their heads) and started seeing the forest among the trees. Immaculate clarity and an impenetrable mindset. Some would chime in to say "hey, this guy is purely out of his mind".

I know, I can empathize! You're just my *before* version, looking forward to my *after*.

The subconscious mind is where pulsates true empowerment. Dig deep inside and, you'll stumble on answers. Complete renaissance. A complete makeover.

      (A) I increased it because there's a lot of monetary potential in there.
      (B) Must do because I have to cultivate relationships to grow downlines. It's fun anyway.
      (C) This not work, it's pure pleasure. Often I get an adrenaline rush.
      (D) I'm a soldier, no problem with that.
      (E) Productivity is for my outsourcers.
