Question: if they don't do what they teach, where do they get their screenshots from? I'm talking about traffic as well as income screenshots.

You mean the panty dropping whips and get rich in 30 days isn't real? DANGIT the last 6 months have been a waste. lol I get so frustrated that all these annoying people flood my Youtube. I haven't fallen for those but it makes it so hard to find someone you feel is legit. I'm afraid to ask because I'm sure this will lead to a bunch of under 25 y/o "Gurus" but anyone have any Ecomm channels that they like watching that are all flaunty but genuine?

Well you gotta give credit to where it's due. If they have Youtube videos up and are getting lots of views and clickthroughs to their site, then i'm sure they can do the same for a product in an obscure niche. And even if alot of their money made is soaked up by advertising costs... they still have the customer's name, which gives them the opportunity for backend revenue. So these new Youtube gurus (some of them) are doing something right.

I agree that there are many people out there who are riding on the wave of the shared knowledge economy like Fiverr and giving the wrong advice that they claim it is their area of expertise. But I cannot totally discredit some advice from online sources or learning some ways to overcome a problem by learning from the internet through YouTube and so on. I have always toldl my family members that Google is my best friend. I turned to anything (absolutely anything) that I need an answer on through Google and research from Google and 'sieve' out the true and logical advice or solution. I guess we have to be able to discipher the bad expert advice from the genuinely good ones. I do learn a fair bit via YouTube.

However, I do agree that everyone of us MUST have a mentor to guide us in whatever route we choose to take in terms of learning and courses. I am glad that I had invested in myself and still very much in touch with my mentor and his support team for my Internet Marketing journey. I go to them whenever I have queries or encounter some tricky roadblocks. And yes, instead of going to different coaches for the same subject matter, stick to the magic number of ONE ! Yes, ONE. One that is truly reliable and has proven to be an expert in his own field and has walked the same journey as you. My mentor and his support team have shared with me about their journey in Internet Marketing so they can basically empathize with my issues or any roadblocks that I may encounter.

In summary, I strongly believe in learning from reliable online sources and one's mentor that will walk the journey with you.

I think a lot of these gurus are just trying to brand themselves by creating value. I've noticed that many of them create basic content while linking a product that is supposed to have their "true" money making strategies.

One issue is many people offer training for techniques that WORKED...but with enough people adopting those techniques they lost there effectiveness. Link farms used to be great for SEO but they were gaming the system and Google found a way to make them no longer work.

So most techniques may work for a while! Understand if it was still working SO WELL why would they give them away....Would they not just use it themselves...

Copywriters can make anything sound irresistible...I know...but the fact is most..SIMPLE things are only simple because they no longer work.

I have a lot of personal experience in this arena...

My thoughts are that it's too easy to get lost in a flight of fancy by watching YouTube guru videos.

The problem isn't that the gurus are lying (necessarily); the issue is that the observer wastes time by consuming content. Instead, they should focus on honing their craft and engaging their own creations.

It's true that it's a great idea to watch WHAT the gurus are doing. What are they doing? They're creating content, and LOTS of content. Blog posts, Podcasts, webinars, books, courses, newsletters, videos, social content, et cetera.

All the people who make money selling "passive, auto-pilot" income methods are working their asses off. That's what most people don't understand.

They're not making money doing what they "teach." They are making money creating content to sell to people looking for the mythical "auto-pilot" method.

It doesn't matter if the methods work or not. The people who buy the myth will buy another and another. If your audience is interested in dreams then that's what you create and sell to them.

Do list building. create your own product. Its the best way to buuild a lasitng business. being a affiliate doesn`t last.

There is alot of truth in this post. We call it "shiny object syndrome' or "sos" (save our ship lol). People easily get training ADD and jump from one thing to the next, never truly perfecting the first one. In the instant gratification society, too many are looking for no effort income at high levels and when it doesn't happen immediately, they try something else. My mentor taught me a very valuable lesson. (Soccer analogy) Find the ball...take it to the goal...and kick it in that goal over and over and over and over...don't be like everyone else who runs with the ball from field to field never finding any goal and chasing shiny objects with empty promises.

I totally agree. The way YouTubers are making money is through the YT partnership program. The more views and subscribers their channels receive, the more money they make. So, it is in their best interest to keep people tuned in, even if what they are peddling doesn't work. So sad when that's the case. I wouldn't say that every YouTuber is like this, as there are some very good videos that show ways to make money online that actually do work well. You just have to know how to differentiate among the good and the bad, and that comes with experience.

I agree with that, i don't know if There's any hidden info about their strategies or something, but the sure thing is that chasing 2 strategies at the same time is worse than doing nothing at all. One mentor and one strategy is what's required, And thats one point that i saw in one fb group the other day, i was talking with one person and then she started to contradict my views with like 3 different strategies and approaches which i'm not saying that they were bad, but at the time for the tests she hasn't tried in depth each one of those, so i view this as a mater of focus and practice

People making money online by teaching others how to make money online, when in reality the person that is making the money online is only making the money online from the sales of their make money online product.

That's their bait. They tell us all these unrealistic claims and hook us in and then pitch us into a free webinar and then they show us their lambos and then tell us to buy a 997 course which is 50% off.Literally 99% of the gurus do that. The only online guru that I watch nowaday on a daily bases on Alex becker. He use to do all that but he no longer does that. He actually teaches us a lot of thing about business and he doesn't try to sell us on anything at the end of the video. He owns a sas company for tracking. I highly recommend everyone to watch his videos. They have helped me a lot.

I agree! I also think it's so easy to get sucked up into the world of these YouTube gurus and then end up spending more time watching videos than actually taking any action! And then you build up 100 different ways of doing the same thing and get too overwhelmed to even start in the first place!

I'd also add to that by saying that people should definitely double check to see if these gurus really know what they're talking about and that their main source of income isn't actually YouTube itself. This absolutely isn't to say that all of them are scams - I just think it's important to know how reliable your sources of information are.

i swear i'm about to do a video on how all these gurus tell you things to do while they are doing the opposite. Like never giving up their true traffic sources. I've been marketing for 7 years and i decided years back to just stick to seo and i'm crushing it. And that's why i want to wake people up and tell them how the gurus use pbn's but swear they don't. It's virus time and all the scammers are out to get your every dollar. They email you 5-6 times a day with a new scam.Thanks for bringing this up.
