What makes people crowd into a restaurant breaking the isolation rules with their kids with no face masks?

Not sure what you are referring to - but my guess is they are tired of 'sheltering in place'- their area is opening up - and they believe they are as important as the other people in the 'crowd'.

My question: Why would you expect people in a RESTAURANT to be wearing masks? So many people i've seen with masks don't seem to 'get' the point of the face covering as they are continually touching/adjusting the outside of the mask with their hands.

You resisted list building (my guess) because it is 'connected' - you are out in front of people with your list and some of us don't like that part.

As for your hair - no idea. I've just let mine grow for now. Odd as I had just had about 10 inches of hair cut off just before this pandemic mess.
Bright side - if you are still staying hoime, no one sees your hair.

Well, if the restaurant is open, the isolation rules must have been lifted.

Why did it take me so long to embrace listbuilding and continued to swim upstream like a salmon for years?

there are risks to being alive ..yes it might be safe to sit in your house but there is no points for the person with "they got here safely " on their grave stone .

it not compulsive behaviour .. it is normal healthy human behavior ..

there are risks to living ..a lot of people understand that and are willing to push for crowd immunity ..

what people do for work to earn their living ..is how they define themselves to others .. if you have been deemed non essential..and have to now break the law to earn money..there are a lot more risks you will take ..to have a life ..when you see nothing wrong with what you are doing ..but the authorities want to stop you ..

I have gone through it ..we will probably see a type of anarchy or soft anarchy like the error where alcholol was banned and buying it was breaking the law ..

We can have 'false hope' - and 'second thoughts' - and 'worries about...a cure, a treatment, a vaccine, the economy, blah de blah blah'...

that lack of optimism and fear mongering .. is why many people don't care and would rather just go back to living life and treat catching corona like any other of the many risks that come with day to day life ..

not all that optimistic for social justice warriors though ..

now I am optimistic .. on trying to figure out how to get my hands on some of the 10 Plus trillion dollars the fed is pumping into the economy ..

now is one of the best points in history to be alive ..

If there was a scale of intelligence I am pretty sure "Herd" is on the South End of it.

They have little barking dogs that can point the herd of sheep in any direction at any time.

I am now in Philippines visiting or stranded depending on how you look at it and they were told they could go into a reduced Quarantine Status where I am but the Mayor said we will extend the quarantine as is until after Mass Testing then use the Data we gather to proceed...imagine that.

Oh make no mistake I realize what I am dealing with here.

Mr wants to separate from USA hope he said thank you for the Aid Money from USA.

But it was the Norwegians..considered a Fav by someone... who told their Students to get the hell out of USA because of the way it was handling this crisis.

wait untill these stupid mindless zombies .. after they go back to work and get what ever incomes they can up and running again.. protest heavily having their taxes increased .. o pay for all the bail outs going on right now .. they don't want to pay for the checks going to the people who don't want to work .

200 people attending banned religous practices .. that are actually protected by the constitution .

One of my all time favorite D.J.s is The Greaseman.

A shock Jock for sure. He did so many entertaining skits for the Morning Rush Hour. I would be rolling on the floor.

He would do him and his pappy as rednecks. Clint Eastwood tough guy character as a gay. Sgt Greasmanelli in the middle of combat.

He had words for sex and pleasing women like Hobble Doo Ga Ga. and Gobble Doo Gee.

One day I actually met him in a restaurant in Virginia.... D.C, Maryland and Virginia you can go to all 3 in 20 mins!

But anyway I went up to him and asked him hey Grease have you been hobblin and gobblin?

He smiled and said "Even as we speak my face is Glistening like a Glazed Doughnut!

Made my day.

He has some youtube videos of a few skits still up.

Then one day I was in utter shock to find he threw his entire Million Dollar career down the toilet with an offensive racial comment that he could not recover from.

Why would someone put it on the line for a joke and an incredibly offensive one to boot?

Waking up and feeling awesome and positive.

A Newbie posted a fresh PayPal Notification of $200 in one of my groups by just offering a Free sign up who later upgraded.

I created this thread just so we all can take a moment and reflect on how we can keep our own compulsive behaviors under control. Because if we don't someone else will try to.

There is a Mail Bomber in jail right now and he is wondering damn how the hell did this happen? I was not one before?

Somebody pressed the buttons that were vulnerable to manipulation.

Another Country said forget Nukes we do not need them. They made a Weapon out of people's compulsive behavior and alot of people were easily manipulated.

It is still happening.

now the manipulation is just called marketing or behavioral economics ..but the more skilled the marketer the less actual manipulaion they need to do ..as the data each person creates is what manipulates the marketing and advertising they will see ,

on the other hand face book you tube and google and others can manipulate the algorythyms so that they can keep their communities safe from way to edgy ideas ..on the other hand doing that might just draw more attention to those being censored ..

in the post corona virus world ..that is not going to have the go to school get good grade ..got to college get a good degree to have a good carreer and buy a house ..then eventually retire .. expected life path ..

it will be the paying customer who manipulates the entire chain or web of supplies ..

and to delve into real compulsive behaviour .. the video game industry had 120 billion in revenue in 2019 .. much og that revenue coming from micro purchases and free to play games if you play any games at all .. it is basically the spend 2$ no or 5 dollars now .. get diamonds ..

tha kind of thing .. where 20 years ago .. it was release another 60 dollar game every few years and sell as many as you can .. or 15 years ago with world of warcraft the monthly subscription model ..

I shared a link of "protestors" with a sign that said "Hang Fauci" the lead scientist trying to save their lives.
Not Down with Fauci, not Get Rid of Fauci, Not Fire Fauci.

That effectively makes them a Lynch Mob....someone referred to them as Entrepreneurs.

Yahoo had 2 or 3 Gun articles daily in rotation glamorizing assault weapons...they kept doing it until there was a white male shooter in the headlines daily. Yahoo stopped and the headlines stopped.

A Wave Of Radicalized Influencers Is Mainstreaming COVID-19 Conspiracy Theories

We should pay attention how we are marketed to. I do all the time.

I am just a truth seeker. I shared a link in another forum that was having a COVID discussion but it is rather hard to have a discussion on COVID while walking on eggshells and labled as a basher if you mention the guy in charge of the Pandemic!

The forum owner considered any utterance of the leader of the Pandemic as "Bashing" and bias. Facts..out the window.

Matter of fact that link I just shared above would be banned on his forum with a discussion on the exact subject.

But hey his forum his rules. I can dig it. I really rather focus on Entrepreneurship.

What he really did is show his own Bias and he went down several pegs in my book.

A shame because I really held him in high regard before that.

Read the whole thread a few times it qualifies as a case study .

So what do you classify useing armed drowns against protestors carrying long guns but being peacfull not shooting anyone .

To protest extreme lock down measures ..if you view one guy holding a sign hang fauchi ..as a lunch mob.

Then you wanting to use an armed drone on protestor makes you a terrorist and everything put online goes into a thousand different databases for intelligence agencies

I have a habit of sharing Success stories of Entrepreneurs to inspire others. I can weave internet marketing into any conversation with a person of any age or culture.

I sometimes want to help others more than myself..and I have to work on that one.

There are others who will wake up and go to an Internet Marketing forum for YEARS with ZERO intentions of ever marketing a damn thing. Maybe they want to be a Gardener. More power to them. Free Country.

But one can at least make a one page website and put a link in their sig and send people to a great book they read and get paid for it rather than the compulsive nature of trying to find a cloud on a sunny day.

That is funny because you are right. The person mentioning off topic was seldom on it. But a great example OF IT.

So it is a win all around in my humble.

If you put all the angry people on an island together with all the freedoms they desire it would be Lord of The Flies in 30 mins.

If I was back over in the Philippines and my girlfriend or wife suddenly wanted chocolate ice cream it would take a small amount of manipulation for her to get me to go get it

I am afraid to go back she has gotten better at manipulating me over the years we have been chatting. But I have been working on the parts of my personality that blow things up before I go back.

Even if I had the money..it could be a year or more.it could be two to four months to renew my passport which expiered in March.

But before I go back I want to get back to Arizona and buy a big chunk of land build a life where I live in the states during the warm/hot months then go over to the Philippines and live near the ocean December to March.

You made me smile because the first thing I would want to do is get a dip of the other persons ice cream to add to mine. Whoops just broke COVID protocol!

And when you mention Philippines I am salivating about being back in USA right now.

Grass always greener on other side as they say.

But I get the feeling, after I spend an entire day in an American bakery, order from 100 restaurants I guess delivered, take in the scenery, do some things I don't even know because I do not know they exist because I have been gone for such a while, visit old friends and tell the same old jokes, hug family I would be ready to spread my wings again!

well if you came back know you could enjoy the view of the empty shelves in grocery stores ..maybe ge a view of the miles or several miles long lines at food pantries ..2/3 of he restaurants are closed for good .other restaurants may move in over time .no movie theaters sporting events . who knows when..

in any case i despise medications and i started getting problems with arthiritis 10 years ago ..i just do not want to live where itt is cold for any length of time ..and i think i'm more frustrated that it is still cold to me here in massachusetts ..and it will be june in a few weeks .

i lived in Arizona for a year and a half ..the 6 month i spent in florida just made me realize why i dragged my feet going to florida .

as for going to philippines i't great for a few months ..at a time ..but in my case i just spent a lot of time inside the aircon in my apartments ..so i can do that in the US too haha..make money in the US 9 months a year ..live on the beach or some place like boracia for 3 months ..

Over here they have Sim Cards you can load as you need, both for Cells and Laptops WiFi and I can use them in each.

The Cell Sim comes with a Free Gig each day for Video. Which eats up so much bandwidth but everything and everybody going Video these days!

So I try not to waste it but it is causing its own Compulsive Behavior in Video Watching. Always starts with Marketing and ends up with Music which is Nutrients for the Soul.

But I get back to work once my allotment is used up so its under control.

i tend to only watch video now..and article or written information seems to either be behind a pay wall..or on a screen loading up 100 different adds so the text im trying to read is moving up and down the screen..

but youtube is starting to be intolerable with the comercials every three minutes that double up if you don't skip them ..

and as for compulsive behaviors ..the people who believe gold backed money i the only proper money ..and have been saying the collapse of the fait money was close at hand sence we went on fiat money ..are sure this time it the end of the US dollar and the return of gold backed money..or even the rise of crypto ..

This has been a interesting week. I actually have been very attentive to my own behaviors much closely now. Some good some bad.

Doing a different work other than what you planned can still be procrastination for one ha.

Even when I was trapped in Cubicle Life 9 to 5 I was known for always washing my hands.

The office gossip was that I was going in there to do some Tootin. (sniffing the nose candy)

They knew I was a gym freak but I guess chronic hand washing was just too boring to fathom.

Who knew how popular it would become!

What is your basis for thinking that? What I notice is the people demonstrating are not the 'same old groups' who seem ready and willing to 'protest' every other week. It's a totally different demographic this time around.

The people who think they have reason to display assault weapons will continue when COVID is gone for the next trivial reason.

It's not a 'reason to display' - it's a 'right to own' that they are 'thinking of'.

I think the guns are simply a visible sign of 'rights' being threatened and that's why they are carrying them. I don't agree with it but I understand why it's happening.

These people display Nooses. It is obvious what they are even if they seem clueless to it themselves.

i searched out many of the videos - saw federal and state flags - and a few 'don't tread on me' flags (American revolution) - what I did not see were confederate flags, nooses, etc. I saw some 'anti-china' posters but that's not surprising. There might have been a sign or flag I didn't notice - but I was looking for them...so...not very visible.

Where are the photos/clips that make it 'obvious what they are'? Or was it a media report of comments by a governor angry over protests?

You are definitely in the wrong part of the country - our groceries here have been well stocked and no empty shelves for many weeks now. MOST of our restaurants are re-opening....2/3 of the eateries here are NOT closed for good. Not surprising theaters and concerts would be off the table for now. Cities here are making an effort to help businesses re-open by allow 'social distancing' to expand into some closed-off streets or sidewalks outside. The 50% occupancy is difficult - those states with 25% occupancy limits are killing their own businesses.

What I've noticed this week is that many people are reluctant to LEAVE the pandemic mentality. We can't allow the panic mode to become the norm.

i would honestly be happier sitting outside under a tree in 110 degree heat ..when i do move in a few month i should have some money in he bank..

two months being back here i think i can just chalk the misseable attitude i had most of my life to not realizing how much i hated being cold ..not even really cold in temperatures below 60 ..

Hi Kay, Always Pragmatic!

Some people see things from a different perspective that others would have no reason to ever notice because they are not targets of what someone else experiences.

When I go to a movie I can not just enjoy it, I notice slights, I notice stereotypes it just happens naturally.

When I see people want to boycott Nike for taking a stand for a peaceful Knee and I see privileged marching with their swimming pool tiki torches I want to vomit.

If you are not getting shot up in your own house or cops called on kids mowing lawns I guess you not worried about it.

I remember the story of the White girl walking around in public with her White dress on and a AK47 Assault rifle as a fashion accessory that is not cool that is not a protest for any rights to me If she was black or any other non white she may have been shot dead.

Trust me I am more optimistic than 99% but I am also a realist and the fact that people have one set of rules for themselves and one for others can get to you.

And let's make no mistake...calling the cops in this era is really an attempt to get someone harmed. But you may not agree when you are not the target or victim of it.

In reality, cops coming on the scene have shot other cops! That just happen not to be white or in uniforms

What is up with Mr. CigaWeed extraordinaire Elon Musk? Selling off his properties.

I highlighted a Fitness Entrepreneur Blog in an eBook once.

The guy started with a $10 eBook and turned it into a Million Dollars eventually.

His blog was sorta controversial with him calling his readers "dipshits" for not taking his manly advice and settling for mediocrity and so on.

But once he brilliantly asked his readers what direction he should take with his blog and I could tell the articles improved and he added additional income streams like supplements etc.

But then I noticed recently he was writing about visits to Casinos.

One blog post recently was like a living off the grid type posts and he was blogging about visiting Flagstaff Arizona?
I am thinking like what? You do not stay there and critique the place you get your gas and get the hell out of there and keep truckin!

So that was weird.

Next I see a post he will now stop using his pen name and he is now religiously saved!

Couple weeks later...Blog Closed. ( I say he should have Flipped it while it was Hot)

Talking about "Victor Pride" of The Bold and Determined.

That is true alot of people set up camp there for tax purposes.

I have driven cross country a few times and always glad to see the Flagstaff sign! Tells me I am close to Civilization again! Then I hit the gas!.

I would not mind giving Vegas a 2 to 3 month exploratory.

I do not think Compulsive Gambling would affect me but maybe seeing Elvis Impersonators daily would.

But I think their Mayor is taking some re opening heat..

well she is also the mayor who pushed through anti homeless laws last year .. that if your found sleeping on the street when there is room in he shelted ..the cops can write the homeless person like a 1500 $ ticket ..or even jail time ..

i don't think the casinos can even make a profit if they need to follow social distancing rule.. a lot of their moeny has come from shows the last 5 year trade shows and confrences ..with not much of the going on .

And, there is an even bigger market for debunkers of these conspiracy theories! It's like Comedy Central 24/7.

alex jones ..i don't believe there is a them or an organization controlling everything that happens but i do believe there are a lot of secrets to be kept..but the only way to do that is to release the secret information along with hundreds of other bogus stories ..

but the people in the organizationg doing it looked at rush limbaugh in the 90's and said we need someone louder than that telling everone about conspiracy theories ..and boom alex jones comes along ..he get fed information..purposly through several insider sources ..

but he is real entertaining for a few minutes ..

Confession here. I made a cool fortune during the Mayan Calendar craze which "prophesied" a December 2012 apocalypse. At first I was debunking it, selling libraries of scientific and astronomical books from Amazon which indicated the Mayan calendar represents the start of a new era and not the end of days.

But people would also buy books to "prove" their view point. So, I started promoting both sides of the controversy using a different pen name and website. This was an interesting phenomena to see first hand. People so commonly buy into their own preconceived beliefs despite overwhelming proof to the contrary. Works both pro or con.

I am really surprised that Virtural Goggles have not become commonplace. Seems those projects have been abandoned. I could be working out in a Virtual Gym doing some virtual reps right now.

Might lead to some serious Compulsiveness.

Probably some tiny side affects like a tumor.

I personally realized that some Compulsive habits stem from PROCRASTINATION directly or indirectly.

Switching to an activity to avoid another. Guilty as charged.

But I found a hack for it and works for me.

"How to Stop Procrastinating in 3 Minutes With One Simple Question"
What needs to be done now in these three minutes?

"Now knowing I only have a three-minute commitment I just do the thing I was procrastinating about!

I just make that a policy! Just do that one thing-- you know what it is-- it's the thing you're thinking about right now.
Don't think in terms of patterns. None of this: "I always" or "I never " because those globalizing thoughts will never serve you."

Of course you will go at for longer than that but you got started.

On another sub topic....Why am I growing a new perfectly trimmed mustache now when I am the only one that will see it unmasked?

Having a Compulsive Behavior Challenge!

Where I am they have had an Alcohol Ban this entire time and it did not faze me one bit.
Except for the COVID B-Day

You would think I would be seeing people walking around with the Shakes.

Nope. From what I can tell everything normal. Maybe they have some stash or home made Coconut Wine never know.

But it made me think of what else I can Dominate...

Emotions.
Procrastination.
Balanced Diet.
Min 8 Hours Sleep.
Treating each day as the Gift it truly is.
Squash Eternal Planning Mode Focus Implementation Mode
Networking Creates Leverage even with people of differing opinions.
Focusing more on the activities that will reward me in results.

There is probably one or two individuals who would literally implode if their fav Social Platform were to cease operations...like um Twitter?

And I read Facebook even confessed it conducted secret tests on its members so I wonder what they do not confess to.

I have to admit Flame Wars can entertain but really if it's not helping with marketing it's probably hurting our marketing.

I think a persons personal exposures or lack of (naturally or willfully) will dictate their responses.

Sometimes People react strongly only to reactions...but not to the initial actions.

The Internet can cure a lot of Compulsions if you just dig or make them much worse.

The thing about selling anything on the internet is there are always more than one group of people to buy our wares.. Those that are on one side of the coin and those that are on the other side of the coin. Typically, two different belief systems such as those that believe and live by facts and those that question the facts, yet both are interested in the same category (if you will), so why not..

Create wares that we can sell to both.

In the early days of the Internet, some well known marketers would circulate through the many forums, and using different "handles" start a thread and come back under a different user name and get into a fight...with himself.

Created two very distinct markets, which he had something for both.

You say night, I say day, you the moon, me the sun and then they find out you and me is I. Eh?

Come to think of it, it makes a lot of sense. Apparently, a lot Youtube seems to be about "feuds" between different youtubers. Basically National Enquirer for the digital age. Completely devoid of content and social value but it works.

by feuding with a few much larger profile Youtubers .. it become an easy way for many to get free traffic to their youtube content .
