Hi Everyone,

I have spent the last few weeks reading on this forum and going over things. I'm new to all this and there is so much information that it's enough to make your head spin.

Is there any beginning advice that you can give that runs true along any method? My Goal is around 2,000 a month in 3 months time. I am not scared to spend money to reach it(PPC, outsource, ect....) but it seems like everything I want to do gets undone by reading the next post.

Thanks in advance and I look forward to being part of this community.

    Indeed many suffer from this information overload.
    It sounds like an experienced consultant might be something to consider.

    One thing that I find true is that it takes work and dedication for most people to make money online as opposed to the "easy money" that you hear rumors about. Some do seem to turn anything they touch to gold in a short time but that appears to be more of the exception than the rule.

    One other note its to keep it realistic. It is good to set goals high but do not set them to impossible.

    Have you decided the path you want to follow? Perhaps a passion that you want to monetize?

    Best thing to do is to take Action, you will hear it time and time again, the majority of methods out there work and you are in a great community here which helps as you can head over to the WSO area and find something that suits you!

      I would consider a consultation, would you be able to point me in the right direction with that?

      I have picked a couple of popular niches and have started with the build out of the landing page. I plan on doing a mix of free traffic generation(SEO) with PPC. I don't feel as if my goals or expections are to high. I'm not afraid to work either.
      Ashley I agree with the "take action" aspect. The problem is that I tend to take action quick and once I read the next post I take action on that as well and and finally I find myself in ten different directions :rolleyes:. I spent the last week playing with PPC campaigns and spent hundreds of dollars. At least I learned how not to run a campaign.

    First of all, welcome to WF. This really should be posted in the main forum if you want to get more eyes on it. This forum is about the mental aspect of marketing rather than the fundamentals.

    That said, search for a method that makes sense to you. There are a million different free step-by-step tutorials out there for whatever you want to do. Find one that makes sense all the way through, and stick to it. Once you have that method paying off, look for another to add to your marketing arsenal.

    If your PPC efforts haven't paid off, you probably either:
    1.) Don't know how to craft a good headline. - How well did you drive traffic?
    and/or
    2.) Your site copy doesn't convert visitors to buyers.
    and/or
    3.) Your traffic isn't targeted enough. - Are you getting people searching for 'dogs', or for 'best breed of dog for people with allergies'? The first isn't spending money. The second has their credit card in their hand.
