I'm not sure if this exists in the industry but it's worth asking the bright minds in this forum.

I've been doing SEO for over 4 years now. And I must say I've learned a lot and is still learning everyday. I'm sure most of you have experienced this, but you've come to a point where you're hungry enough to learn more technical issues relating to the field. Aside from the self-study path everyone has and the several valuable online trainings, I think one of the most effective way to develop yourself as a professional is to have a mentor you look up to and somehow chase his expertise to a certain level.

My question is: Are there SEO experts/groups out there who are willing to mentor newbies and novices? What's the catch? Well maybe students or "mentees" can help their mentors in certain projects without compensation except for the knowledge that is to be bestowed (or something similar).

It sounds too ideal (crazy perhaps) to be true, but it has been one of my "dreams" to have a mentor and to learn from him extensively. Again this is just a shot at finding my future mentor.
