I've just gone over and had a read of your blog,

You come across as a real and very sincere person,
as you give so much of yourself by the way of letting
people know who you really are, your ups and downs,

Hi,
I just joined and am excited to learn from those who are actually making money! I have been trying for over a year and as of today zippo! I am looking forward to 2010 and can use all the help I can get. I have a product finally that I really believe in...no pills or juice. I am currently a mortgage banker (don't hate me) lol I've been in the industry for over 20+ year's so I've seen the bad and the ugly....but come on! I am looking at replacing my JOB.
I've invested so much and have little to show that my ego is now on the line...if you know what I mean. My family thinks I've lost my mind.

$400 a week is more than many Americans make at a 40 hour job they don't even like. It is more than minimum wage. There are long lines of people trying to get $8 and hour jobs.

  An adswap is where two people simply email each others promotions to their lists in order to get more sign ups to their own list.
  
  Usually people start doing adswaps when they have a list of around 250 subscribers.

Wow, everyday! That's an impressive answer. Is that mean you are sending out email to your list everyday too? Wouldn't your list feel it is too much and unsubscribe as well, would you?

How do you keep them receiving your email and yet happily and look forward your email everyday?

Thanks for the reply my friend,

Well I keep my list happy by giving them value and giving them FREE stuff,

Then they come over to my blog and say hello and we strike up a relationship.

They then become to know like and trust me.

I also send promos out but only stuff I would buy myself.

Its all working so far anyway.

Thanks for all the congrats,

Although I did tell a little fib I actually made $500 in a week and one of the days I made $200.

The money is in the list.

This income was acheived through taking part in adswaps daily, plus a couple of evening promotions. Also got some sales from my follow up emails.

I had hardly seen any income, then when my list passed 2k bam money seemed to come in from everywhere.

I know some people may see this as very minor but dam I am very happy at the moment.

My advice to you guys would be get building your lists because it does work.

I've never sent out an adswap (not a big enough list yet) but I've gotten scads of them. I have gotten overloaded with the model of a freebie with an OTO on the back end. Then, of course, since I opt in to get the freebie, I wind up on another list with a long parade of freebies with OTO's on the back end. I have largely just stopped opening them, so I have gotten very skeptical that they could be effective.

I'm glad it's working for you, though. Maybe I should just lighten up.

Who is the mentor you mention on your blog. Is it Alex Jeffreys?

btw I'm still struggling to get my first dollar online but accumulating a wealth of experience along the way. Got my product and the website ready and participating in a giveaway starting Jan 5th so should give my list a kick start and then the plan is to start doing adswaps as you can't really adswap when you don't have a decent list. After the giveaway I'll be pretty much doing what you are doing right now and also by that time will have my blog up and running.

I wish you success in all you do and never stop believing and atleast now you can say this stuff works.

People outside the IM community will never understand as it is quite out of the norm and not a Real JOB for them lol. We have been conditioned to follow the system when you work hard or get a degree and then get a job and make someone else rich working for him. Our system is designed that everyone should a part of the Rat Race so most people won't get the idea of working and making money online without having a light bulb alert kind of thing going off in their head saying 'Scammer' 'Scammer' and that is as close as they can get.

I know what you mean its like banging your head against a brickwall, I dont tell any outsiders what I do now.

Even if I did they would then say im scamming people.

Pity your list is not in the IM niche, in a few months time when my list is huge. I am gonna be doing something to help the little guy out with their lists.

Your hard work earned you rewards. I can understand because I'm also struggling today. I am just new to marketing and boy it sure is challenging sometimes.

But I was also taught by other successful people that the only way to succeed is to have passion in your business venture and everything else will follow.

Thanks for all the awesome comments,

I really do hope all of us who have not seen success see it 2010.

I have seen fantastic results so far this year and this is just one business model.

I plan to implement loads more time permitting, I want my fingers in a lot of pies.

I think I mentioned this before but I have big plans for 2010, I am writing my first book 'newbies journal' and im getting a report together detailing my business model I used to see my first 2k.

Infact im nearly at the stage of earning $3000 online and my list has grown to 3k subs.

And in just over a weeks time im going to Vegas to party witht the likes of Mike filsaime, Alex Jeffreys, Jason James, Lee Mcintyre, Dean Holland.

Cool eh, thats what a little success is bringing me!!

PS The only bit of advice I can give you is work hard, keep setting small goals, reach them move forward, never ever give up.

This post really is inspirational. While I don't think I will be using this method... it goes to show you that if you dont give up and find a method that works for you and stay focused you really can make it.

It took me over 3 years to finally find a method that works for me.. now its just a matter of rinse and repeat...

That's awesome. Thanks for sharing! You know, it's stories like this that really motivate people to do great things... Starting from basically zero and against all odds managing to create a passive income, And the funny thing is that these stories - the ones where you've made your first $400 of whatever... you'll look back on these with more feelings of happiness than when you constantly start making like $10,000 a month lol

Infact I just got back from a seminar in Vegas ran by Alex Jeffreys,

And I partied with Mike Filsaime, Jason James, Yanik silver and basically every big time internet marketer known in the business today.

Marcus: I too just made my first big coin with IM and I am excited! You were a great inspiration when I was in Dean Holland's Starting with Marketing Academy and my list is about to crack 200 after only about 4 months. Can't wait until my list gets big enough so we can do a swap!!!

I intend to make 2010 my year too! I've been learning about IM for some time now and have only managed to make one sale through clickbank... Never saw the money though because they want you to make a minimum of 50 bucks before sending out a check... and as I've made that sale a while ago and not been able to withdraw the money, they've charged me $1 for every fortnight lol. Yet, that one sale has managed to keep me motivated and know that it is definitely possible to make money online! So I hang in there and carry on learning!

I made my first sale on clickbank, I think it was $13 and that sale motivated me and made me realize that this stuff actually works and is real.

Just keep pushing forward keep finding ways to make money.

I think it's key to have a oto offer after you get people to sign up. Think of all of those people that will never open your emails or see your salespage. At least you'll catch them after they optin and get a chance for a sale.

It makes me smile whenever I hear success stories like yours. Even though $400 per week isn't an amount that will break the bank, comparing to what many people (including me) are earning, that is HUGE! Make sure you never quit, keep up the good work.
