A Master Key System tip and a great way to live Life

I've noticed a couple of people going through this book so I thought I'd throw out the most amazing thing I've learned from this course so far...

It's the power of choice. We choose every single thought we create and in every action we take...our life is driven by our choices. The problem is that every time we look to make a change...we feel like it's something that should be done and that creates nothing but a power struggle.

Do you find yourself saying things like...should, would, could, have, want, etc? If so, it's ultimately not going to get you anywhere..obligation creates a control and power struggle which takes a whole bunch of will power to overcome.

So the neat little trick I've learned is to actually know what choices you are actively making....once you look at it you'll realize...."woah...I'm actively choosing to be this way. Why?"

When it comes to choice the number one question is why?

Not why do I want to do this? but why am I choosing to do this?

This plays such a big role in this course and in life...living without obligation makes everything you do rewarding...from this, I genuinely feel good when I make the right choices, food tastes better to me and I'm eating healthier...I find myself wanting to run a lot more, wanting to work harder, I'm more interested in the people around me and in everything I do....Life is a lot better this way...I feel amazing when I use this method...today I had a brownie and it never tasted sooo good. But I chose to have it. I didn't cave in...I wanted to eat something sweet so I chose to have it...it was delicious and I didn't feel bad afterwards...but I didn't find myself saying...I really shouldn't have had that but it was so worth it! I just thought...wow...this is a really good brownie...then I went back to my normal ways of eating healthy...I'm really liking this concept.

Right now, I'm in the transition phase...so I have to catch my thoughts and words and say hooolld on....then I literally rethink of how to say it another way...in a way without obligation or desire.

I just wanted to share with you guys because this is going to have a huge impact in my life. And if anyone's interested, I'll let you guys know how this all turns out once I get the hang of it.

  • I know exactly what you mean... gives you freedom & power.
I've practiced this on & off consciously. Sometimes, you may slip, but bringing yourself back to this gently is the key. Avoid criticizing yourself for slipping... defeats the purpose.

You are bang on. Indeed we all are results of the choices we make.good, bad or ugly our lives have shaped up so because at a certain point of time,we chose to think those thoughts and hence made those choices.Though i did not understood this obligation thing mentioned by the thread starter.
After all when we make a choice,we should be prepared to face the consequence.but most important is to make a right choice while we are thinking,as it would invariably lead us to right choices.

There were certain choices i made long back which i regret till now and this is again a choice i am making. As regrets and guilt lead us no where and hence not a wise choice.
