Never Underestimate The Power Of Levity

Think business is serious?

Then you'll struggle awfully, strain and strive for years on end before becoming successful. Business is not supposed to be serious nor is life. Our judgement makes it so.

Those who go about work in a light manner are more successful with less effort.

Of course you must complete certain acts if you want to be successful but those who work for the love of it make become successful.

You must be passionate about your work. We know this. But in addition to being passionate you should be light about it. Be able to laugh at your failures, shrug off your mistakes and move forward with a fresh new mindset.

Obstacles will feel like opportunities and former nightmare scenarios become ho-hum.

Does this take practice? For the majority of people, heck yeah! We're taught that work is supposed to be some kind of serious struggle. Work is only a struggle if you fight yourself or people you're doing business with.

If you can suspend judgement you can realize the benefit of everything which has happened in your business life, or life in general. Time makes the perfection of each moment crystal clear but by not judging you can see the perfection in things immediately.

I've practiced this recently with pretty cool results. Namely, I've tried to refrain from my personal opinion on every little thing by seeing it for what it Is.

Just today tell yourself "I will not judge anything today" 100 times in the morning. Throw a few in every few minutes. Stop every hour for a few more minutes. Drill this into your mind. You will remain light about your work and ideas and circumstances in harmony with your goal will flow to you more easily.

    Hey Ryan,

Thanks for this post. It is an area that I am trying to work on right now. I was just talking to my wife last night about how much I have on my plate. Don't get me wrong, I love what I do, but sometimes I take it all too seriously and get obsessed with it.

I am trying to work on ways to clear my head so that when I am playing with my kids and out spending quality time with my wife, my mind is not consumed with what needs to be done right now.

I went from being a happy unknown in marketing, making my money and having my fun, to partnering with some of the top marketers in the industry in the last few months.

My goal was always to get the attention of the leaders, but now I'm working on three different launches simultaneously, and it's taking over my mind.

Your tips here are great, and definitely something I need to get back to, and I really appreciate you taking the time to write it.

Mindset has always been my key focus in my business. So when I did my monthly eval yesterday, I saw the problem clearly. Today is about getting my mindset back to God first, Family second, and business third. I seem to actually get more work accomplished when I focus that way.

    It's my pleasure Chris

You summed up the order needed to get everything back in order: God, family and business. Through God all things are possible, and it's in prayer and quiet meditation where we find the Perfect Solution to any problems that we might have.

You’re on point. Everything happens for a reason. We just may not see it right away sometimes. But knowing that there is reason is enough. Got to keep on moving.

Ryan, this post of yours is very refreshing. I agree that work shouldn't
be a struggle but something you enjoy; a journey. You're really
spiritual and the way you write reflects it. I enjoy your posts and
      thanks for being a Warrior.

      Kudos, my friend.

Of course one needs to enjoy his work, otherwise he can't succeed at all... that's common sense.

          You think so Vogin?

I see many people going through life without common sense then Just kidding of course.

If more people had your viewpoint we'd live in a happier world.
