The very best advice I can give you is this:

Focus on one aspect of internet marketing at a time and don't get overwhelmed with the vast amount of information you "think" you need to know to get started. Just be sure you DO something with the knowledge you pick up. Don't just let it accumulate dust on your hard drive...USE IT!

Find a mentor or associate with people who have attained some success marketing online. Seek out the opinions of those marketers who have earned your respect through forum posting here and elsewhere. Note how they express themselves and if they are imparting information to help or just to lead you to buy something they "say" will help.

And perhaps the very best thing you can do for yourself is to join the War Room. You can pick up a tremendous amount of good, solid business advice by becoming a member.

You will absolutely be amazed at how much $$$ you will save when you can get most of what's being sold in ebooks and courses right now for high dollar...absolutely free of charge from members of the War Room.

If I were you, I'd join right now. You won't ever regret it, and it'll save you a tremendous amount of trial and error in searching for what works online.

Just my 2 cents, for what it's worth to you.

    Hi There,

I took a little bit of psychology in college and took a class on learning that went into this. The truth is that there is no "best" way to learn. People learn in all kinds of ways and whats best for me may be worst for you.

In general, there are differences in how people like to learn based on gender and age, but even those stats aren't overwhelming for any one type of learning.

Back to IM. Thats why many products these days offer more than one type of learning style.

Me, personally, I like reading and watching (text nd video). Not a huge fan of pure audio.

You're quite welcome. Don't ever be afraid to ask questions on this forum about anything you don't understand...this is the BEST place to learn all about IM without fearing that someone will make fun of you or tease you about being a "newbie." Remember, we were all newbies once ourselves (I'm what you might call an "advanced newbie" - meaning that I know an awful lot about the basics and what I need to do to get an offline business off the ground, but up until relatively recently I never put any of that knowledge to practical use. I'm just beginning to do that now, though. I find you need a certain mindset also. Don't get upset if you don't earn any money at all for several months. That means, don't make money the focal point of your marketing efforts. Look upon it as a learn -by-doing effort and give, give, give to your selected niche before you even think about trying to sell them something.

      Hope that helps.

P.S. You might want to tell George to update those conference dates that you see when you click on your sig link: Join Us On 18 - 20th Of June For The Internet Millionaires Summit 2010!
as they reflect attendance dates of June 18-20 in the headline as opposed to the dates you are referring to in September.

All that you have listed are equally great assuming the info is solid. Just make sure you are doing and that the learning is an aside to your doing. Pick one thing, focus on it, and take it all the way. Good Luck!

I recommend learning from a variety of perspectives or styles. In other words there are three basic learning styles/preferences; visual, audio, kinesthetic (touch and feel). Everyone has a dominant preference. Look for programs that allow you to read material (visual) as well as hear the material (auditory) and require you to actually get your hands on something (kinesthetic) and then you will increase your chances of fully integrating the material.

    Cheers!

    Everyone learns differently.

Personally I like to learn by watching videos and then doing it myself.

But at the same time - I like the content to be available in text form so I can easily go back through it and check for things that I missed or that I can't quite remember.

Text is a lot easier to search then video is - but I like video to watch the first time around.

Yep and text is normally a lot quicker to go through than watching a video. For example, an hour video, if put into concise text would only be a 20 minute read.

The visual - text combination is the best pairing I see out there

The best way to learn is "at the feet of the prophets."
If you want to be a millionaire, do what they do, listen to what they say, read what they write.
Experience is the best teacher. And those who are veterans of experience are the best source of education.

That's not bad. I'll add that nothing is really going to beat trial and error after
reading free resources like the warrior forum.

I always turn people here first. Look around. Peruse the forum. You don't actually
have to participate. Just site back and learn. Try some of the things discussed
here. Some work, some don't. It is only after you get a little success and
experience under your belt that you should look for paid resources, like ebooks.

    The medium doesn't matter.

What is most important is that you
take notes and review your content.

I remember reading a study which said
something along the lines of "humans
tend forget 90% of all they read within
    1 year"

One of the best ways to learn is not to be afraid to make mistakes take actions of course I am not saying we should do things blindly but do not get caught up too much learning and use it as an excuse to delay the actual implementation. Take action and you will learn much more

    Face to Face.
With the development of the Internet, although we can learn with many methods. However, most of them are better than Face to Face because this is an effective and friendly way to let us learn easily.
