One of the biggest problems internet marketers have is procrastination.

Try to associate pain with not taking action and pleasure with taking action

Sound like something I should try. I am going to "Unleash the Power Within" and hopefully meet Tony Robbins in November. I am so excited!

Went to this event years ago. It's a blast and the best part of all was the people I met.

I ended up going back with 3 of them and working on the crew. The firewalk was so much fun that we all decided that we wanted to be on the fireteam and build them when we crewed... best part was when Tony came out with the crowd to show them how hot the fire actually was. He kept telling us (the crew) to get closer to the fire so that the crowd could actually feel the heat, we had all formed a ring around the fire and were paired up with a buddy. You and your buddy would stand single file in front of the fire and rotate to keep from burning up. LOL Lot's of fun.

Anyway, have fun at the event and crew the next time around, lots to learn from doing both.

seems like an obvious method once you read it, but very few people think of it like that consciously.
    That's some deep mind stuff

I have to go with Acebeats on this one, I'm afraid. True, it's something we could all benefit from trying. But a Magic Secret?

It's a clear and everyday drive for many. And then there are others for whom that cannot and will not work.

I truly appreciate the idea and the identifying of the problem. The solution, unfortunately, will only make sense to those who are already utilizing it.

For the rest, either get off your duff... or Line Out a Goal, with a deadline... or recognize that the future depends on present action (or inaction). Truth is, sometimes the best course is to delay the decision until the deadline.

He didn't say "secret" he said "formula"...

I thought it was an effective, attention grabbing title. But I've been to a Tony Robbins seminar or two in my time so I'm biased.

I love Tony Robbins. He's helped me a lot.
Another thing you can do to cure procrastination (or any other unwanted negative emotion/habit) is to do EFT.
You can download the free manual from their site: eftuniverse (dot) com, where it says 'Get Started Free' on the left hand side column.
        It really works!

I like deadlines too. Sometimes it helps to give yourself a reward when the hard work is done. It works for me sometimes! And the list idea helps... but sometimes I put too many things on it. Maybe a short list would be more practical.

Tony Robbins does have inspiring speeches. We as humans tend to get in our own way when it comes to success. We tend to procrastinate and make excuses. Those who challenge themselves and become greater than what they thought possible was because they changed their mindset and they took action.

A limited mindset and procrastination bear no fruit. It is when we continue to nurture our talents and strive to see the completion of what we started, that we see growth.

It is only when we step outside our self induced roadblock that we do indeed realize the key to success all along was in our belief and action. When you believe that something will be even though the results are not instant, eventually it all comes to life.

I do believe everyone is destined for greatness but it is up to the individual to take the step forward and claim it. Sometimes people procrastinate because they are afraid of failure or sometimes even success.

    Stay focused,

    Cynthia :-)

Yes correct by attempting to reverse our reactions to the two situations could be a good method of getting rid of procrastination.
