As a passionate entrepreneur at heart, I find it interesting how often entrepreneurs are misunderstood.



Entrepreneurs are in it for the money!


Very few successful entrepreneurs I have spoken to have money as their driving factor. They are more motivated by success than money - motivated by the idea of turning a vision, a dream, and idea into a business, making it tangible. Thats what drives most entrepreneurs.

Now money is a good indicator of success so the money is just a measuring stick of success.

Just my 2 cents

    I have known only a few people who called themselves entrepreneurs who were in it for the money. In most cases, as you say, they're in it to turn a dream into reality. Many I've know were in it to provide for family and community; that is, create jobs. But that's a whole lot different than being in it for the money.

    Agreed....too many people think the opposite though.

    Oh well..as they say, the entrepreneur is a lonely beast. A non-entrepreneur will never understand the rush and satsifaction of starting a business...even a not-for-profit

      buddy are you struggling to find your inner peace ? it does not matter why a non entrepreneur does not understand thats why they are what they are, and why you are what you are.

      Very true! It can be lonely sometimes.. Money is one factor but there are so much more than that in creating a business like you said.

    Lol . I am not sure I am entrepreneur now. Because I just want some money . It is very important and a driving factor for me although i have to like what i am doing as well .

    I see earning money as a game. As long as I've got enough to live then the exact figure doesn't really matter.

    As Kenster said, it's more like keeping score on a video game than a driving force.

    The fun's in the application and feeling like you've won at something and done it well.
